Fairly new to this posting lark, but here goes.

Our solar panels and battery are due to be fitted next week.

Deposit is down on a BMW i3, but we haven't chosen a charger yet.

A Zappi smart charger looks promising but we may have to wait, while an EO charger also looks very neat.

Any recommendations out there?

I think we may use most of our solar energy at home, so it is likely we will charge the car overnight on a low rate tariff from Octopus Energy who we have just signed up with.

I have a Newmotion charger (im from the NL), work prefectly.
Many colleagues with EV or hybrids, have not heard bad stories about chargers yet, installation can be a faff though but that depends on the 'quality' of the ground worker/infra guy (planning also depends on multiple parties..) that comes around to install it.

Price wice I can't make any recommendation as it came included in the lease deal. Also not sure if newmotion is available in the UK.
If you are on lease interesting to see if they can still make the installation happen free of charge (see what I did there) for you.
