They're pretty much all at it. The main culprits seem to be Fiat Chrysler, Ford, Daimler, BMW, Toyota and General Motors. Fiat Chrysler seem to be especially bad for this.

It looks like all the laggards who don't have much (if any) skin in the BEV game.

According to the EPA personal Car transportation accoutns for about 15-16% (it says over half of 29%) of CO2 emissions in the US, electricity generation and industry account for 60%

https://www.epa.gov/ghgemissions/sources-greenhous...

Personally any measures to try and reduce CO2 should be targeted at the worst offenders first before hitting motorists.

P.S. the biggest elephant int he room is the number of people on the planet, if this was reduced and everything else remained the same, CO2 emissions would be reduced.

To be the fair the avarage of 54 mpg (about 64mpg uk) or better I's practically unobtainable especially given how uncommon diesels are over
More so given the size of most us cars

"We won't plug this hole until we've bailed out all the water"

Both can, and should, be tackled simultaneously.

As someone who’s worked around the engineering side of the automotive industry for a long time, the simple reason it’s being resisted is that it forces them to make cars that customers don’t want to buy, or to sell for a price they’re not willing to pay. Emissions kit makes the car worse to drive, electric cars are struggling to be profitable at the prices they can sell for.

It is true that we need to make this shift as a society, but of course there’s hesitance when at a detriment to the interests of the individual - be that a customer or a company.

Indeed. I am waiting for all the Extinction Rebellion volunteers to show a lead on this, and volunteer to shuffle of this moral coil.

Well there’s a really ugly suggestion. This place is depressing sometimes.
