Good grief, that's some serious mass! It's that on air or standard suspension?
Probably on the bump stops .... after the air suspension popped , lol

It had pumped the rear up a fair bit, as when I lifted them out the rear came up about 4 inches, then air was let out when I started it.

Tbh 400kg is no more than three of me sat in the back and boot full of luggage, 400kg is easily within its spec id imagine, hence why it copes so well, I must try harder biggrin

If you weigh a third of 400kg (130kg/20st, and allowing 10kg for luggage) you are a fine, strapping human. 400kg is more like five or six adults, all over the back axle. It's a lot of weight!

Can I ask a question at the risk of sounding a bit daft? When an EV is parked up say at an airport for two or three weeks, is the battery charge depletion an issue?

I’m not a fan boy like some but am keen to learn and when feasible will try one for work.

I wonder if any of the port / airport parking companies offer to charge your car whilst you’re away as I wouldn’t be able to make a return trip to Gatwick or Southampton from a typical EV cars range. Yes, I know I could stop on the journey, but SWMBO saying ‘will this take long’ every 5 mins is likely.

I've done this at Birmingham Airport. There are some chargers at the valet parking drop off area. Not sure about any airports.

They got a second batch of cars. Slightly more expensive but never mind.

Order in for an S in Caesium blue (no choice on anything but colour). May 20 delivery. Very pleased.

Now do I get kicked of the subforum for starting to plot the Porsche that this will free up the money for?!

Vampire drain, as it is called, is very high on Tesla. At least relative to other cars.

It's still low enough that you don't need to worry though. Just be aware that if you pull up to the car park with only just slightly more range than the nearest charger you could be in trouble when you get back.

I rented a private parking space and the guy charged by Leaf for my.

Possibly getting a little ahead of myself (always like a kid at Christmas with new cars!) but what do I need to run one of these then?

Registered on zap map. Pod point for home is part of the package. You need to pre register with public charging companies? Two? More than that? Do they vary a lot in quality/availability/cost?

Oh and how do people find them in snow? All season tires as standard I think?

Cheers.

My mate is buying a Land Rover Defender with the cash he is going to save by having an iPace as his company car, so a plotting a Porker is probably a more ecologically sound proposition & certainly more up my street.

What networks you want to be on depends where you live and where you travel to. Have polar and ionity here

No to all weather tyres on 20” wheels, sadly. Don’t know about 18” though

Think that only affected the S and X badly (and I presume they fixed it now?), the 3 is much better apparently, Bjorn Nyland left his 3 in a freezing airport carpark for 3 weeks and lost about 10% SOC (lost 70 km of range between that and the drastically colder battery temperature, but not a massive issue when you had 400 km range to start with).

its higher on teslas if you use sentry mode or keep waking the car up to check how much range its lost...

So.. not having been that enamoured with ours over the year we’ve had it, its ok but not brilliant for the money, especially ride wise..

Its never had any updates in the 12mths from new & recently it died due to these lack of updates (fair enough)

Got it back yesterday, got the expected increased range and more accuracy, but one thing i wasnt expecting was a better ride! Its actually really good now, far less crashy (which is how it should be on air) was there some kind of alteration to the suspension dynamics at some stage? Its an hse so has dynamic air.

Quite nice after a year getting a better car free of charge, much higher opinion of it now.

Sorry but why did it ‘die’ due to lack of updates? Shouldn’t it work like the day you got it even if got no ‘updates’ ever?
