Doesn't have to be, it's a relative term just like 'bargain'. I also think the M3P is cheap for what it offers in comparison to alternatives.
You're right, let's all get one. That'll save the planet. Probably.Saving the planet was never a consideration if I'm being honest. Had it been more polluting than an ICE car it wouldn't have altered my decision in the slightest.

I appreciate you guys may hate on me here but I still don't know a single person who wants an electric car. Where is all the demand?
TX.
Funny, you sound just like any number of people who said they didn't know anyone who was voting Conservative so clearly they were going to lose the GE.TX.
Assuming your small circle of friends/colleagues is representative of the population in general is never advisable.
TX.

I'd suggest 90% of my 'circle' have shown a huge amount of interest in EV's with quite a few making the switch or planning to do so next change of car, so should I assume that 90% of people want an EV?
Like I explained to 'Terminator', “all the demand” is mostly around Birmingham!

That's actually interesting I'd have expected the places with the least EVs to start with to show the biggest percentage growth, but Birmingham started with far more, and had the biggest growth!

Its exposure. Takes roughly 20 contact points on EVs to convince someone to change. I'd have expected the places with the least EVs to start with to show the biggest percentage growth, but Birmingham started with far more, and had the biggest growth!
More EVs more contact points. More seeing them working, charging, talking to owners, finding out they are better cars.

I’m sure there are lots of people on PH, and their friends and family members, who maybe wondering about the transition from petrol/diesel to electric cars, and how an electric car could fit into their life.
Fully Charged has just launched a six part mini series which is going to be a guide following one of their presenters, Maddie, as she researches electric cars and then ultimately buys/leases one and starts using it.
I’ve just watched episode 1 and think this series could be pretty useful for people who may now be considering an electric car, or maybe aren’t yet but are interested and who are open to the possibility.

At least it did not have James May in it, which Youtube still bombards me everyday with suggestions on why I should watch this Generation X chap who can afford a Porsche but then drives it like his grandad who spermed a Boomer.
Maddie Goes Electric.
Now if she had done an Air fryer, and not a car, I would be all ears. I've got one of these beasts recently and it's not a fecking fryer at all !
It's a small efficient fan assisted oven with grilling effects.
So there.

A reliable 350-400 mile range, on motorways in winter, would go a long way to convincing me, and hopefully that will be the case by the time I come to replace my current motor.
And while I admit that that sort of usage is not what a majority of drivers need, there do seem to be plenty of people on here for whom the current ranges are a dealbreaker.

Sadly this info is completely misleading, it's some idiot journalist getting some info from DVLA about where the most EVs were registered. The bit they didn't look at being that Lex Autolease register all their vehicles in the B postcode and 95% of those "EVs in Brimgham" are iPace pistonhead director lease deals.

I don't currently have an EV. I admit I would like one. Next car will probably be a PHEV (mostly as second hand EV estates are non-existent). I thought it was a really good video. I think it probably represented a real-world viewpoint. Most people are not tracking which cars exist. Most people don't know much about EVs. A fair few people would like to be more environmentally friendly. This video was them

Out of interest as can't remember, how often are you doing 350-400 mile non stop trips?A reliable 350-400 mile range, on motorways in winter, would go a long way to convincing me, and hopefully that will be the case by the time I come to replace my current motor.
