I reckon it's a double bluff. Maybe he's from a different broker trying to f st up for the other company!!
he is a she (and defo not double bluffing:-) I would also say EDF had gr8 deals and would price match most other deals I was finding. I couldn't give 2 hoots who people get their deals from, just thought I'd share what I thought was a bargain :-) just happy driving around in my lovely ickle leaf (well....for 2 years anyway)

No worries. Sorry for being a sarky so-and-so. smile

First time posts that say nice things about businesses are generally not legit, so apologies for jumping on yours.

Ha! She.. sorry.

What's the red like in real life?
My white one just looks like some form of white goods on its side with wheels attached.

originally I really wanted the white and I still like it, but the red is really nice too, quite sporty looking.

Not very happy with the range on this car.
Seems my daily 40ish mile commute is using between 60-70 miles of range.

Normal driving in eco mode, heater on lowest setting at around 21 degrees and just heated seat on.

Averaging about 3.1kwh or whatever it is.
I'm finding the wind at the moment absolutely kills the range. My 36 mile commute has ranged from using just 18% on a flat calm day to double that on a windy day.

The range is shocking. This is driving in eco mode for the full duration and just normal driving.

Wow that is shocking!
I did a 24h test drive and I was getting around 100 miles range driving on the motorway up to 75mph, never touched eco mode, I did use the ePedal though and it was around 5c outside.

OVO update! Spoke to John today who said;

I appreciate your patience during this process, the next steps for us would be to organise a fuse upgrade. We believe that the maximum demand created from having a v2g would be greater than the cutout from your current fuse. To upgrade from and 80A to 100A would be the task of your distribution network operator, would you feel comfortable with us passing your details on to them? Before the fuse is upgraded, we would need the meter tails to be upgraded from 16mm to 25mm, which would be a task for your current energy supplier. Both of these jobs should be done for free.

I appreciate this is a little long winded, however when this is carried out you will be good to switch to ovo and we can book in an install.

Alternatively, you could switch from your current provider to OVO now, and when you come on supply ( the maximum period of ime will be 3 weeks) we can book in the tails upgrade ourselves.

The fuse already says 100A in it but he is saying it is 80A for some reason, bearing in mind I have only sent them pictures! He said that once this is sorted, I will definitely get onto the trial. Do you think this is legit?

Given the temperature at the moment I think that’s fairly typical. You’ll see a good improvement as the weather warms up.

Yeh I know but I lost maybe 20 miles if that when I had the model s which was circa 7% of its total range.

This is 33% of its range.

So about 120 miles range? Yep, shows how much more efficient other (newer) EVs are. The Leaf in many ways is still the 2011 car.

At that point, it was showing 13 miles left.
I get that these arent teslas but this is still a crica 30k car that can barely manage half what a standard model 3 could do.

I really like the car and it's a nice car to drive but the range is utterly pathetic and I'm not sure why.

I'd imagine lack of battery temperature management is a significant part of it? Presumably that will make it much more susceptible to suboptimal temperatures than something like an Ioniq or MG ZS. Mind you with the lease deals available it's rather cheaper than either.

What's everyone else getting to a full charge?

I tend to top it up every other night so it doesn't really go below 40% but it's showing 3.2 miles per kwh, so according to how I understand it that's 3.2 x 37 = 119miles to a full charge.

37 being the usable kwh of the battery.

Not great considering it hasn't really gone over 65mph

It's an old design and not that efficient - why is anyone surprised about this ?

I used to get 60 miles in my old 20kwh Leaf, so 120 sounds about right.

Unless i'm missing something, at best you're going to have a monthly payment of £300 for a Leaf?
