I-pace is so inefficient that it's pretty poor for long trips, despite the claimed range. Bjorn liked it despite that.
You know they did a software update to the ipace which cured a lot of the early range issues?

And people talk about efficiency as it its really important. It's range is important. Nobody says a AMG Merc is a bad car just because it does 15-20mpg.

It's still never ever going to do 250

Charge curve is also important, pointless having a car that does 250 miles and then having to sit forever on a charger

I'll take that as a no. The i-pace is better than it was. No MX does 250 miles either.

As for charge speed, have you seen the reviews that says the area under the curve for others cars is quicker than Tesla? The review I saw was about the e-tron but just goes to show the peak top trumps numbers are not everything

Of the premium, non-Tesla, SUV's the iPace is certainly the most efficient and best for range at present. The E-Tron and EQC are pretty dire in comparison, especially at high speed. It does suffer with regards to charge speed though so difficult to say which would be the best choice if regular long trips and public charging are required?

iPace curve is OK but does max out at 100kW and drops off quickly?

E-Tron 55 curve is very impressive

Model 3 LR pretty good?

The only person in the world? What a silly statement - I think it unlikely you have surveyed all the ipace users ... There are several people saying they get this from their ipaces but I am certainly not one of them. 160-170 in the winter months at around 70 on motorway or in local trips, def not at 80mph (though lots of short trips so lots of every used in warming up each time), but I have managed over 240 in the summer on a mixed A road and motorway trip. Next time I am considering an ioniq5 to replace the ipace but there may be several other EVs to choose from by then (April 2022) - Merc EQE, Volvo XC90 EV (maybe) and others I don’t know of

So there you go wanting to change apple into oranges, just so you won't do that again:

I’ve been getting 250 miles range from my I-pace since it arrived mid December. Been pretty cold in Yorkshire too since Christmas!

Russy, they all have pros and cons. If you wanted to buy over the next month or two, the choice isn't great. The longer you leave it, the more choice there's going to be. So many new models have been shown in prototype form, or LHD only so far. Maybe scratch the itch by buying a cheaper one than you planned and live with it for 2 years. By then, you'll probably need more than both hands to count the candidates.

Yep, 250 miles - mixed A roads and motorway. Do about 1000 miles a month. Fabulous vehicles!

Cheers. Thinking about hanging on - as you say there’ll be lots of choice in even 12months. At the moment nothing is floating my boat.

The EQC is probs my favourite.
