Was just looking at exactly that. Spec'd identically there's a £20k difference in cost, which seems a lot for 2.8 v 3.6 0-60?
Unless I'm missing something of course.
Isnt one of the differences the 'boost mode' that gives you an effective over-boost capability from the battery / motors that drops the 0-60 time? I could be wrong, but I thought that was the difference. Or is this the difference between the Turbo and Turbo S?Unless I'm missing something of course.

You guys buying these CTs via the company? Contract hire? Or buying outright?
I’ve got a quote today for a 4s with a relatively modest spec, just over £100k.
Looking at £1500-2000 on a contract hire which I’m struggling to get my head round...
What length of contract/terms? You'll likely be paying the entire cost of those options over the term, so on a 3 year deal that's £14k/36, or £400 a month.I’ve got a quote today for a 4s with a relatively modest spec, just over £100k.

FYI a standard Turbo should cost £1600 a month on a 1 + 35,10k mile deal and with the better spec could make more sense as the options you add will likely be a lot cheaper and affect the monthly cost far less.

£1600 a month for a car that lists at £117k is a little less of a leap I'd suggest?

I swear the marketing person doing Porsche's options list is named Peter Ian Staker.
£200ish for speed sensitive steering on an £70k+ car, when pretty much every car with EPS has it as standard for about the last 20 years.
Yup, but I have to say that the worst I have ever heard is $4000 for Apple CarPlay on the Ferrari Roma!£200ish for speed sensitive steering on an £70k+ car, when pretty much every car with EPS has it as standard for about the last 20 years.
Ok, so its a Ferrari and if you can afford one, this is a tiny fraction of the overall cost. But for something that is just a module and a bit of wiring, its pretty obviously gouging. I dont even think its wireless CarPlay either!
What I will say to Porsches credit is at least you are able to choose each option separately, most manufactures are now forcing you to pay for 'packages' that are likely to include options you don't want.
Take the Polestar 2 as an example. Want a heat pump or panoramic roof? That'll be £4k for the 'plus' pack.
360 surround camera? £3k for the 'pilot' pack. 20" wheels? £5k for the 'performance' pack.
Turns a £46k car into a £58k car, and they still want another £4k for leather on top of that..

Personally, this is a purchase through my Ltd Co, so financially it's very much a positive move.Unless I'm missing something of course.
I'm looking at potentially running this for a while as my only car (apart from the Dacia runaround).
Massively simplifying my personal commitments is a big plus point for me.

Start a new role in June and a quick comcar calculation suggests that a £1800 a month lease would be costing me about £800 a month in reality with BIK rates as they are at present whilst being essentially cost neutral to the business.
Octopus Energy have recently launched their scheme so will have to see what the powers that be think. https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/cars/article-9...

With the CT, there's a significant difference in terms of usability of the rear cabin. Have a look at around 05:20 here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGHG5ggEyiw
I've just placed an order for a Turbo CT, in Carmine. Should be here in September.
Can't wait.

Got your Porsche code? Be interested to see how many options people are adding to the pricier models.
Overkill for sure, but my priorities are to lift the cabin materials and add as much chassis tech as possible.
Not interested in driver aids, other than cruise.
Expecting to take delivery at the end of July

If you want to own it longterm have a look at additional mortgage borrowing.I've just got approval for a £200k loan at 1.49% fixed for 7 years, I nearly fell off my chair when the final monthly payments was confirmed for a pay back period of 15 years - £1,100/month.
£150k fixed for 7 years at 1.49% and 7 year term = £1,800/month with a total interest payments of just £7000 over that period for a £150k loan.
I've never seen borrowing so cheap, the 'wisdom' of borrowing £150k to spend on any car is a totally different matter .
