Ordered in June, original date was something like 10th January. Got mildly excited last month when I had an email to say it had been brought forward to December 11th, now had an email saying pushed back to 30th January.

I am not a patient person biggrin

Friend ordered one in June and was told Jan at the time.

They’re still waiting but I don’t believe their order has slipped further ….. yet.

Good luck. Cracking little car.

I know it’s not the same but I gave up on a JCW after 6 months cos I couldn’t get any firm dates.

Can you get status updates like you can with a BMW? I got my BMW in 3 months and could check build status as often as I wanted via the chat on the BMW website. That was quite useful.

Probably explains why the used values are so high at the moment.

I’m sure it does. My pex Cooper S was sold in a week, it went for £10k less than I bought it for 3 years ago.

I ordered a L2 in August but was not given an order acknowledgement from Mini for ages so I cancelled my order.

It’s irritating but I guess not the end of the world.
It’s salary sacrifice scheme so the company are keeping me updated pretty well.
I’d be surprised if it wasn’t pushed back again to be honest. I did have a look at other cars on the scheme but the Mini is by far the cheapest, probably due to the excellent resale values.
I do have a car currently but that’s a big costly diesel so was looking forward to a bit of greener motoring.

Not with it coming through the lease company no. They are pretty good with monthly updates but they dont go into huge detail. We'll see what Novembers update brings...

Maybe the switch to China is behind the uncertainty

Had a scroll through the lease site earlier to see what lead times are on other models, long wait for anything really, March/April/May and they are a lot more expensive than the Mini E.
If I were ordering the Mini again today they have an estimate of March 2023.

As I say I'm fortunate I'm not in a rush, I just lack patience biggrin

It's been like this for 6 months, so not really connected.

Hmm, other half just spoken to his work colleague who ordered the Mini E about a month before me, His date was end December and thats now pushed to end of February, so on that basis I'm expecting the update from the lease company at the beginning of next month to push me back to end of March.

I’m questioning it I admit.
When I ordered it I had spent a few weeks wrestling with my thoughts on whether to go electric or keep hold of the 12 year old Freelander 2 I currently drive. FL2 is diesel, runs well (touch wood, crosses self etc) but is now at 125k and I admit I’m starting to worry about failures.
Now with the cost of electric going up as well I’m wondering whether to just say sod it and run the freely until it dies.

I usually get an update around the 5th of the month. I’m away for most of next month anyway so I’ll have a think now and see what the date is when I get back.

I ordered my L3 BRG Mini on the 20th of June and collected it November the 5th. Was originally told it would be around March next year, but there was a block NHS cancellation (so the dealer told me) so I managed to jump in there and was bumped up the queue .. great car btw, the range drops quickly though.

What is a block NHS cancellation? A salary sacrifice scheme?

No idea, I just received a call saying an NHS order had been cancelled and my build date was bought forward.

My date has changed again.
Had a weird day a few weeks ago where it was pushed forward again to May, and then within hours brought back to March, It's now settled again on end of this month.
I remain unconvinced but we shall see....
