Renault 5 e-tech

I had a drive at my local dealer in Peebles. It was a short one as they had someone else waiting to drive too.
Initial impressions were good, ride and steering seemed a lot better than the Zoe. I was concerned it was going to feel like a reskinned Zoe but that wasn't the case. Going back for a longer drive in a week or so. Feel good factor was very high!
The UK specs continue to annoy though - I want the concept style wheels on the top model!

Are these being delivered or demo’d yet?
I had a dark blue one on a 74 plate behind me for a couple of minutes today. Looked surprisingly anonymous other than the DRLs
Personally I think the car suits the brighter colours. There is a blue car on AT, and it looks a little lacklustre, in my opinion.I had a dark blue one on a 74 plate behind me for a couple of minutes today. Looked surprisingly anonymous other than the DRLs

Funnily enough, three dealers have told me Pop Green has been their most ordered colour. And then yellow behind the blue.
Isn't green the free colour?Skyman said:
Yep. But a colour which is not available at all on the Iconic model, which I find a strange decision. That’s why I went Techno. I view it as the car’s signature colour, together with the concept car’s alloys, again not available on the Iconic.
I asked the salesman what the most popular model was and he said 2/3rds Iconic and 1/3rd Techno.Yellow and green the most popular colours.
Mrs Mark has gone for Iconic in the Blue (with black 5 for roof and side decals as she doesn’t like the default red sticker on blue, bit Superman). Bit understated compared to the Pop colours but really looking forward to its arrival whenever that is. 320 a month on salary sacrifice (Octopus)…
Today, a three hour demo with the car - which is truly excellent - prompted three interesting reactions, all in a nice way. Old school 110 driver (very tidy example in green) - thumbs up out the window. BMW M2 Competition (new version) - again, thumbs up. Lamborghini Urus, white, not pimped - admiring glance. All these within the first 30 minutes of collection.

3 hour test drive, you're lucky, obviously that dealer isn't too busy with the 5, for the next week we have 3-4 test drives each day in the 5, it's absolutely non stop with bookings well into the month, I'd never authorise a 3 hour test drive at this stage of launch.Gassing Station | EV and Alternative Fuels | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
