Black Ops - Fiction or Reality
Discussion
Here's where we were last year - I was stood next to the guy with the camera.
We only got 5 mins before the marshalls spotted us and told us to bugger off.

7 years later and I'm reopening this thread. After reading about it here and trying for the last 4 years, 2018 was the time that we managed to complete our "Black ops" as per the rules, I won't disclose the exact location but for 2 of the best minutes we were undetected and had the most amazing experience. Being feet from cars flat out in top was incredible. We got lucky but we drove to the location early Sunday morning and walked straight to the side of the track. There hasn't been much in the way of posts about this of late, who else has experienced this very dangerous but incredible thing? Still grinning about it now.

This year was my first year at Lemans and I've already decided that i'll be back next year! Next year black-ops are a must, you say you got detected after 2 minutes, what happened then? Just sent on your way?I've been going to Le mans for years but this year even I found some new spots.
Hotel Arbor,
15 euros to get in, that gives you entry into the hotel grounds at the exit of the 2nd chichane on Mulsanne straight, there are two viewing points. one along the mulsanne straight where you see the cars heading down towards the rise before Mulsanne corner and the other viewing point on the 2nd chicane itself.
Also you get either a large beer or soft drink and a Jambon baguette included in the 15 euros per person price.
You also do not have to have a GE Ticket! So if you just want to pop in and watch the racing for a couple of hours, you can

Also noticed a couple of small private campsites just south of the chinese restaurant this year. (on the outfield of the circuit) Worth a recky.
