Dude, you're going to France... why not buy them over there where it's cheaper? confused
Euro is rubbish, & its 3 crates for £20 at Tesco!
Fair doo-s. I've not worked the prices out, but just assumed the duty would always make it cheaper over there.

Anyway, have we yet concluded whether we're allowed to drink it?!

However, lets not forget , we are English........ So if they don;t like it, lets do what the English do so well. Lets smash the place up.....

in all seriousness, it sound like its Glass bottles from what people have said. We have had an email from Vauxhall telling us no glass bottles.

but please remember, big Fires are not affected by these bans................

I would say it's a glass ban rather than a booze ban, so looks like we are all on the cans then....
What about wine? I am allergic to beer......seriously!
May have to pack some Magners! All seems very last minute so presuming it is all Chinese whispers for now.
Wine box will do the trick!

Open fires are banned in the area from March to September, or something like that. Never stopped us burning all the wood we could find last year :-)

Exactly what I was going to do as I drink more wine that beer - also not bought a wine box for years, but thought it would be easier than bottles!

Good job we weren't planning on attempting another beermountain this year then!

The supermarkets will be gutted if they've stocked up on crates of stubbies... How expensive are cases of cans by comparison?

anyone know about Vodka and Whiskey. I know a fair few of our lot like a nice supply of spirits for late night fire. Surely they can't go through your car and find it all.

I can see how earlybirds may get hassle, but are you telling me once the masses turn up on Friday they will be able to police it. Never gonna happen i reckon at that stage.

christ if they keep this up it will be as bad as uk soon.

I can't see it happening TBH

I'm on Airtrack - I'd be very surprised if they had a ban.

I can't see it being enforced if I'm honest, and even if it is true and there were random spot checks being carried out, I'm sure the gate attendants could be "coerced" into letting you in with a crate of Biere 33's finest.

Not that I endorse bribery, of course... wink
