Mattys68,

Just drive into Bleu parking and pay the fee and set up a tent. Shouldn't be a problem people have been doing it for years and it beats paying through the nose for a ticket inside the track.

ACO have said that all the parking tickets have been sold out?

Surely if this is the case, you couldn't just roll up and pay on the door?

Yep, Blue Parking, turn up pay your fee and camp, downsides are that there are no amenities and on race days if you want to get your car out you are unlikely to be able to; and if you do, you definitely won't get it back to where your tent is pitched as some Frenchie will have taken your space.

We have done it for last 3 years though and its OK, its a liveable option if you don't have proper camping tickets and a lot cheaper.

The 'sold out' tickets are the ones where you get a reserved space.

Did the 'Blue Parking' thing a few years back, just drove down with only Entrance tickets, and paid on the door for parking/camping.
Not bad, but a long queue for the toilets!

I decided to go on the Tuesday last year when Wezo told me to camp in bleu parking. It was no problem for us as we had a camper with us so we had somewhere to wash and pee! I didn't arrive until the Friday night about 11:30 and had no problems.

Thanks for the info on the turn up & pay side. It looks like that might be our only hope.

Just seen the ticket fs on ebay - up to £100 already and still days to go. People seem a little desperate at the moment.

I dread to think what next year will be like. I can see a whole new generation of ticket touts springing up & making a packet.

Mattys68,

If you really want to go I would Definitely just turn up and pay on the door. I couldn’t believe how easy it was? As for the loos, showers and stuff I think you can still go in the track and use them. I wouldn’t miss the weekend because you haven’t got the camping tickets for the allocated sites.

Darren,

Final question then, we're not getting in to Le Mans until Thursday evening - do you reckon there's still a chance of getting a couple of cars in to Blue parking or is it likely to be packed?

The parking is fairly empty until the Saturday morning when the 'locals' within driving distance arrive. So Thursday night should give you the pick of the spots.

Yer I agree with Guy, I think you will be OK as last year when we got there on Friday at 11:30pm there were still a few places about the place.

See you down there!

Would echo the above, turning up on Thursday or Friday won't be a problem, its only when the locals start arriving Satruday morning that Blue parking starts to get busy.

Thanks guys,

After much buggering about over the last couple of weeks, I can finally say 'we are now on our way'!

Have a good 'un all...
