Checking in, monuentally annoyed this year that
A - i'm not on a ferry.
B - I've just moved into a new house and have no internet!
At least last year I had the (excellent) streaming HD eurosport and RLM... this year, I've only got a 2g signal on my mobile, so I'm relying on you boys to keep me updated please.
Yours, Devastated of Leeds.

Poor show! Beg the neighbours to let you on their wireless for the weekend? The 21st century equivalent of popping over for a cup of sugar! Or you could get a 3G dongle pay-and-go, £20 quid credit should see you through the weekend A - i'm not on a ferry.

I have my stubbies in the fridge, my Eurosport subscription paid for, a new media PC on which to watch it, a 28 meg (tested) fibre-optic broadband connection to prevent any streaming issues, Radio LeMans on the radio, a big-ass TV and a sofa.
None of this dulls the disappointment that I won't actually be there.
To the extent that I think I've successfully talked the other half into going next year, for our anniversary. Even though she's not a fan of camping, or being deprived of creature comforts generally. She's a good girl, really.

Well after 3 failed attempts in the last 3 years to go, 1st year, trip all booked, car then stolen 3 days before we set off. Wasn't really in the mood to go then funnily enough, and lat 2 years of purely being skint I'm determined that next year I will break my Le Mans cherry. In the mean time, Eurosport, live timing and twitter will be my friends this weekend. Some beer is needed though.
Our place also has a restriction on leave so I decided against it this year and accepted a gig in Germany instead. I also have a cash flow problem meaning earning would be better than spending, but now I am regretting it all.
I could just as easily take the wife's diesel barge tomorrow and make the trip back just after the race, and back to work Monday afternoon and let the family eat beans n toast for the rest of the month.
Already saving for next years hoon there from Glasgow to La Sarthe in the Westfield though as missing this year has given me extra incentive to be there next year.
Hope all who is going or already there has a good time though. Would love to see the Deltawing in the flesh and doing well, especially as its powered by a fellow Scot. Would also like to see McNish picking up the trophy again.

After the relative success of the exploratory 1st 'Are you Le Mans enough? event (last minute basic package), unfortunately 'Are you Le Mans enough II?' will be in blighty with cheap French Lager A BBQ and 2 team mates. Due to financial restrictions. The plan is to make 'AYLME? Part III' a much more organised and prestigious affair.
Get yourself organised man! Id not as a fellow Midlanding PHer, get a PM across and we'll see if we can co-ordinate something.
My set up as of last night
gazebo and tents in garden - gazebo currently being pushed to its limits in the wind
Eurosport on TV, currently in doors, but will be moved into gazebo for warm up on Saturday Morning
2.1 system providing sound from Asus Transformer tablet dialled into RadioLeMans.com
Strakka Flags - (freebies from last year) fluttering in the wind
Blue official Le Mans fence hoarding (acquired from Le Mans 2008)
Gas BBQ for breakfasts, proper BBQ for everything else
Baquettes slowly going stale ready for Sunday evening authencitity
Loads of frozen 'Pomme Frites' ready to be cooked
Just need to get the beer and wine sorted now
Enjoy all those that are stuck at home :-)

Stay at home for the first time in ages too.
Our first baby is due today.
Bad timing on my part - there needs to be a thread in September reminding us: "NO SEX THIS MONTH OR YOU MIGHT MISS LE MANS NEXT YEAR!!"
Schoolboy error, everyone knows September is h**djob month Our first baby is due today.

Best guesses on the 2013 dates, so I can book them off work now???
It's always been on the weekend on or about the 17th of June. 2011 - 11/12
2010 - 12/13
2009 - 13/14
2008 - 14/15
2007 - 16/17
2006 - 17/18
2005 - 18/19
2004 - 12/13
2003 - 14/15
My best guess for next year is that it will be 15/16 June (and 14/15 for 2014).
Not that I'm already trying to plan next year's trip!

My guess is that it will be the weekend 15/16th June next year. Not sure why, but it always seems to be on the first weekend after the 10th June(ish) as its never been as early as the 8/9 or as late as the 22/23.2004-12/13
2005-18/19
2006-17/18
2007-16/17
2008-14/15
2009-13/14
2010-12/13
2011-11/12
2012-16/17
Turns out that "therealpigdog"s maths is a lot quicker than mine!! But I concur.
