Getting TV reception at Le Man

A friend is taking his caravan (complete with TV) to Le Mans and wants to be able to watch the football.

Whats the score, will we be able to pickup a local (French) channel on a UK television???

Also is there a French channel which has Le Mans coverage (we will of course try and watch some of the race live )?

Am I right in thinking you have to use the old analogue equipment to watch sky? (and is it still broadcast in analogue in Europe?)

Mike,

Little bit rusty on this but the French use a different TV system to us (SECAM vs PAL) - so I don't think you'll be able to tune in to anything!

As far as I know, you can take Sky satellite stuff with you, both digital and analogue should work OK once set up properly.

we took an old sky analouge setup last year, dish nailed to a broom handle tied to the side of the barn, it worked ok unless the wind blew it about too much...

i think the digital stuff is supposed to be harder to set up...
