I should have also said, if you get a big, wafter with a V8, just keep some dosh back ti modify the exhaust to make it sound savage. It will make all the difference, most of these big 'ol beasts could sound amazing with a little effort.

Did something simialr a few years back with a £500 budget to buy a sports car! I use that term loosly as I bought a 1977 TR7 for £150. Spent the rest on getting it running but the alternator packed in on the way, then it blew a spark plug out which signaled the end of play!
Got it sorted for the following year & it made the trip (just). It's now getting a full strip down & rebuild so beware you get attached to these things!
