PistonHeads Cerberas Verrrry slow?

Thursday morning, southbound, 50k north of Rouen: we shot passed 5 X Piston Heads logo'd Cerbies. (Blue Chimera passing @ 120+ on the dual carriageway along with just about everyone else passing you I'd say)
I thought speed mattered to you boys!!!! ????

PS: in fairness, we got absolutely wasted later by an Orange one (plated "Cirbie")

I don't blame them !
The roads (esp. dual carriageways) between the UK ferries and Le Mans are major money makers for the French.
Other PH threads are mentioning large numbers of Brits being done and having to meet quite staggering on-the-spot fines (£500).
We stuck to the minor roads as much as possible, takes ages but the driving is way better than anything driving in the UK (except maybe Scotland). Almost no traffic and I never saw a single traffic cop.

BTW - we weren't hanging around. Instant ban territory if caught in the UK plus we all suffered loose back ends on the wet roads which followed Wednesday's showers.
Biggest 'moment' was a long straight with a 90deg left hander hidden by a rise; an ordinary car with it's higher line of sight could have seen the chevrons much earlier. I was at 110mph when I stamped on the brakes and I lost speed so fast that my 300mm monster brake upgrade got hot enough to start smelling

Respect the towns and villages, give it some when the (lurvely) roads allow - I'm not citing reckless driving as standard behaviour, but a dash of mischievous hooliganism en route? Surely it's what the return trip to/from La Sarthe is all about!
We just wanted to see (and hear) Cerbies in serious action. The mad Orange one ("C1RBE")? Now that WAS being driven with suitable gusto... well done that pilote ;o)
Sorry to hear about your loose back end. Was it le poulet or steack frite avec 10 pints du vin rouge that did you in?

I've got to confess that I'm still suffering badly. The lack of sleep and effects of drinking monumental quantities of alcohol over the five days have really got to me.
Early bed, healthy eating and no alcohol for the rest of this week. It's drastic, but I want to partake at Combe next weekend....

About 3 Pistonheads Cerbies overtook me just south of Rouen.
The blue one nearly went head on to another car whilst overtaking me and a couple of cars in front!!
I then saw them all parked up about 10 miles up the road on a hill.
Then on the motorway a P reg Grey Pistonheads Cerb went past and turned off towards Rouen town centre.
My mate was doing about a ton all the way up the Motorways there, no problem.
We got to the tunnel about half an hour at least, before the Cerberas.

Did we look lost ? Anyway, we had a fantastic weekend and we're gald we could provide you with your one and only chance to overtake a Cerbie ;-) I'm sure that with a little encouragement we would have had a play, maybe next year? I do remember playing with a Griff for a bit till he pull off 100K south of Calais. I even let him over-take one or twice :-)

The 5 cerberas belonged to the RatPack sorry if we slowed down at the wrong moments we kept on stopping to fill our water pistols, imagine the scene water fights at 170mph...;o) Still we passed a lot of fast cars on the route and Steve grey cerbie big respect for not poleaxing that dog on the N28.
As for the griffiths the only griff I saw pulled out of
my way when we hit 130.

Paul, yes we got home OK but only after we ran out of water north of Sees. The temp was at 120 so l pulled over. The rad cap seal was distorted so l used a piece of chamois leather. Better that the original l recon. Steve went off to find water, meanwhile scrounged some from a passing dutch camper van. Later ran into the ratpack Cerbies, fully armed with water pistols. Helped to clean the windscreen. They took photos so l am after some if they are reading this.

ultiman - it was me in the Cerbie that was filming you not taking pictures I am afraid.....but when i get the film onto cd I will send you a copy for good measure.....sorry if anyone thought we were going too slow but one of our number lost his number plate and we were fannying around for a while between Calais and rouen...but then we really got going especially along the N128 where we were regularly hitiing 150/160 after some mad overtaking escapapdes.....ah next year roll on LM2003...
