Seeing, in fairly quick succession, a Montego estate and a dragster Ford Prefect doing burnouts in the town square on Friday night. Most amusing.

Well ultimapaul, 160 and rising as you all took the correct turning and we missed it being in front.
Other good moments, good company as we all overheated in town centre next to bar; using chamois leather in place of rubber washer on water expansion bottle. lt took us all the way home without boiling.

Ultiman - The company was superb. I'll have to remember the trick with the water bottle, it may come in rather useful .... As for the 160, on the A28 at 06:20 on Monday morning. Just had to crack 150 at some stage on the trip.

But we were in the 'Kon-Tiki Lounge' MotorHome next to you, imagine how much beer we could fit on/in that

The guy in Houx with the fireworks, DVD projectors ('we love you Kylie!'), disco lights, dry ice and much, much more. Bloody star!!!

Plus the gorgeous MG girls, who we also bumped into at the services south of Rouen.

"The guy in Houx with the fireworks", some one said he was a famous drummer, unfortunately he had an endless supply of fireworks (so rich he was also letting them off during the day) and also liked Elvis, we were a dozen or so tents away !

I was in Houx as well- rct I loved your car. (Podiom). My best bit was at the end. We managed to get onto the track, between the pit lane and the Park Ferme, getting real close to the Corvettes/Vipers. Then interrupting Frank Biela being interviewed on German TV to shake his hands.

Or the convoy on the way home, with the two TVR's, Bentley, Porsche Boxster and Aston Vantage. Its the only time I ever get to drive like that. WOW!

Best moments for me...

Doing 3 laps around the roads including what circuit you could get onto (Mulsanne, Indianapolis etc) with no other traffic or police at 4am on Saturday morning (couldn't understand why no one else was doing it!!)

Also breaking my record on the Tuscan's dash "top-speed" memory.... 180 mph somewhere between Paris and Calais on the way home. (new pic of car driving through Paris in profile - sadly not at 180mph... 18 maybe!)

Too many to mention, but here's a few:

1) Pulling up at the ferry at Portsmouth behind a lightweight alli E-Type, a 250GTO Ferrari, an Aston Martin Vantage, sundry other sports cars (TR6s, Tigers etc) and seeing more TVRs than you could shake a stick at.

2) Hearing them all start up to get on the ferry.

3) Hearing them all start up to get off the ferry.

4) Friday night 10pm – outside Camp Bleu, seeing and hearing all the standing starts ... the Cerbie/Tuscan and Maserati were awesome.

5) The race.

6) Seeing a few Ultimas – whose was the red 'un driving with the doors up outside Camp Bleu?

7) Seeing something with 'Zonda' on the back – was the hell was it? Fantastic – so fantastic in fact I had to leg it back to get another look.

8) Everything else not mentioned above.

Pagini Zonda – I want one. Just done a search on PH to find out the info. Drool. It was the dogs cos I onlyn saw one. And I saw TWO Countach's.

speed was just 145 but they both hit 175 ... I think I need an Ultima for next year....

1. Watching the footy in Tertre Rouge on Saturday afternoon

2. Watching the burnouts on Friday afternoon at Porte Du Circuit (with condolences to the guy who crashed his E-type!)

3. Getting a tin of mints off the MG girls

4. Racing a yellow Murcielago from a toll booth (and losing spectacularly!)

5. 178MPH after the Calais toll booth

He nearly came to grief on entry - also the biker who nearly went into the van as he left the roundabout.

140mph on the Mulsanne straight in my 400se on Friday.
Following the convoy of 6 elises + 1 Exige back towards cherbourg
The two girls in the Le Mans spec Spitfire (actually a 2.5litre straight 6 under the bonnet apparantly) doing burn outs at Arnage/Mulsanne on Friday
The noise my 400se makes at 145mph with the roof down!
Houx camping on the Friday night!
MG running 3rd and catching the Audis for pure speed!

I also saw the girls in the BRG Spitfire on Friday, which was being driven like it was stolen.

The TVRs doing burnouts on the drivers parade was brilliant, particularly the Tuscan R - compliments to the Evo guys for that one.

The red Griff and Green 450SE doing burnouts in Place de la Republique - and also the fountain there, full of bubbles where we had a beer & bubble fight.

Anyone on Houx Annexe get woken by that collossal, thermonucelar job of a firework at 3am Sunday? There was a lot of noise about, but just about everyone in our group (who was sleeping) was roused by that one.
