Used mine last weekend, always a relief when it still works. Must start to look for messages when the bill comes. Wouldn't be without it now.

Benefits for a singleton driver in a small British Sports car?

It has been a transformation in comfortably passing the peage, no fumbling in a car with no dashboard shelves or pockets and straight on through ignoring that unhelpful little window on my car

And yippee, my invoice came ce matin (practise for next month)

I've had mine for about 11 years now, still on the original battery!! It's used nearly every month, I've just come back from Spain and it is a godsend not having to jump over the seats like I did in Spain

Do they work behind sunstrips etc or need to be on a clear bit of screen as to dark area by the mirror?

Nope. Have had mine 14 years so coming up to my fourth one soon, and they have all worked faultlessly. I was pleased to see in one thread that they now warn you to change it towards the end of the battery life too. No worries.
