What you driving???
Discussion
I've just decided to go this year (missed the last due to work) and will be driving my lump of an X5
Leaving Thursday pm and spending the day Friday in town getting rather and then a quick dash back home Saturday am to go to work on Sunday
Still, thursday evening and Friday drivers parade are the two best days of the year for me so well worth it

Spending quality time with your mates, on a hot day in Le Mans is frankly awesome. I could write a book with the tales I've got from various trips to LM and I'm afraid once you've been it's in the blood.
A small snippet.......
We're pretty good at breaking into the drivers parade getting up and personal with the drivers - a bit of confidence goes a long way
As it happens a couple of years ago we broke through the crowds and into the parade in,y for one of my mates to decide to go to sleep on the stage where the compère had to literally climb over him to interview the drivers
Or when I managed to get into this pit/garage during the race.....(still can't remember how I did it )
Or when I took a selfie with the man himself
And so many more
Since 4pm this afternoon I've managed to get a pitch in Airtrack, spent a small fortune on the the tunnel etc. but it will be well worth it
You can't put a price on quality time enjoying yourself with your mates

You should have looked at the Le Mans thread. I have 2 spare seats and massive tent owing to 2 cancellations. Meeting a few mates there so still a good crowd. You can't put a price on quality time enjoying yourself with your mates
Leading on from your LM stories. Last year was my first year at LM. Still managed a little interview with one of the drivers . . .

Good job interviewing the driver It's the only motorsport event I know where you can get close to those driving on track.

What a lovely and proper "lump" of a car your C36 AMG is!Lots of fellow Pistonheaders seem to have done a great job with getting stickered up!
I'm not that brave enough to do it - nor I doubt that good at applying such art!
Safe journey one and all - see you on the road!
