Eurosport saying ran for qualifying tonight, based on local weather reports.

Please don't worry. They are only talking about 29C Saturday and 33C Sunday. Tomorrow will be fine with but 27C. Except they can be a few degrees out. My pool hit 31C today.

I figured it's got to be getting towards that time again this year. Seeing as Accuweather have their long range forecast up. Mainly though just to remind Kiters42 not to forget his obligations. Let's be honest, it's the most accurate forecast for the event. I know I'm a month early though.

I believe two months early, but I can tell you we are lunching poolside in glorious sunshine if it helps.

PS it is now 3.30 and we have turned the aircon on in the house. I put the thermometer in the sun outside and it is a measly 37C

Last year was the 24/05 so hopefully not. Gives me a couple of weeks to find the kit I need anyway. It's not too bad in the UK today for once.

22C sun and clouds would be quite pleasant. Last year it pushed through 30C and was unbelievably hot!

And you're complaining about that? A far cry from 2015 when we went karting powerboating and there was so much water it actually went up my shorts with such force it then went up the inside of my shirt and coat and filled my helmet so I couldn't breathe.

Tuesday to Monday there was one cloud. It appeared on the horizon Friday around midday and floated across the sky, solitary, over the course of about 20 minutes. It covered the sun for what had to be less than 45 seconds and dropped Bleu Sud in to shade, then was gone again.

Sunday saw temperatures reach 34C on Bleu Sud. The Porsche Centre threw out binbags of ice at the end of the race and even with a cracked rib (from trying to climb the wall at the start finish straight the night before), I carried five to Bleu Sud, an accomplice brought three. We threw them in the paddling pool with all our feet in it and all the ice was gone in half an hour.

It was glorious. I hope the cat bestows similar weather this year.

Perhaps there is a pattern. It's the first of the 24 Hours this weekend (bikes) and it is a mere 29C. Great for those wearing black leather I suppose.

I can't believe I'm checking this thread anticipating a forecast from a cat...but I am.
Please keep him away from the road for the next few weeks...ta

People will be there in 4 weeks (unless you are Lowdrag in which case...) anyway...

How is the forecasting?

The long-term forecast looks a bit moist but from memory the actual weather is normally completely different to whatever the forecast is telling us it is.

Bring back the cat, most reliable Le Mans weather forecaster I've ever come across!

I might as well go away "darn sarf" this year anyway. Bar stewards, after me writing four page articles with seven photos on the race for four magazines for 20 years have said I am not far enough up the food chain to warrant passes this year. So much for loyalty! I reckon they are reducing the number of photographers (who are free) and replacing with those who take video who pay a minimum of €5,000. I might buy a drone.

I hope kiters has been looking after his cat, we don’t want any mistakes now it’s getting so close.

Me too. It's like the Le Mans version of Punxsutawney Phil, just more accurate.

I genuinely base my packing on the cat's predictions. What's the name of the cat?
