Wow, great picture. Is that the car bouncing off the tyre barrier or was it rolling before it got there?
Look like it Flipped , https://youtu.be/t5bPgU1n4yI
I didn't think the cars were supposed to do that any more. Lucky chap that he got away unhurt.

Blimey, according to DSC there's an inquiry already underway into Fittipaldi's crash with Dragonspeed saying they won't be back without being satisfied with the outcome, we're also got another BR1 talking off and the Ginettas looking doubtful, P1 isn't looking so rosy anymore.

The holes and the fin are to stop them getting airborne "sidways" ie flipping whilst spinning (like the old Porsche GT1 liked to do). The BR-1 looks like it hit the sausage kerb and went top over tail. Luckily there was a decent patch of run off and he landed wheels down.
Could have been very bad!

According to the DSC report the sausage curbs were removed last year but the car was way off line and in the dirt, the cars were all generally running the low downforce packages which could attribute to the front lifting at the top of Radillion.
