I don’t believe they do but you can stream radio Le Mans for less then 2gb for the whole race. I was always told you cant pick it up on any frequency, just on internet.
To be fair we got used to knowing nothing besides the lights on the side of the cars, then found the app and that was very useful. In the main we just enjoyed the scenery and the laid back atmosphere.
On both occasions we watched highlights on tv to understand what actually happened in detail.
Dont be put off, its a great event.

It is one of those places every motorsport fan should visit and watch a race at least once in thier life.
Usually go twice a year, the WEC race and often classic racing, be prepared to do a fair bit of walking and be prepared for all weathers as said before. Spend a chunk of time on the old pit straight and eau rouge, but try to walk around the track as looking down on the cars as they travel around the furtherest parts of the circuit is a wonderful reward for those walks.

Thinking of doing this trip this year for WEC. Where is better to stay Bruges or Ghent? Also as the Monday is a bank holiday in the UK, thinking of going down to the 'Ring' after the race and Sunday... We have been to WEC at Nurburgring twice now and it is great. Good for the kids too (now 12 and 10).

Probably no point doing the ring as the nurburgring 24 hours is the following weekend. Access will be limited and fans already arriving. No point staying in Bruge or Ghent there are lots of small villages around Spa that have decent prices hotels. Ping me a Pm if you need help.chasingracecars said:

Liege if you must is much closer. Been going there since 81 and there penty of things to see and do depending on you interests. If you like history this is in the middle of battle of the bulge and there is a really good museum in Bastogne. If you have time on the Monday. there is a chocolate factory in Eupen, where Willy Wonka sells via a cut price out shop.... there are caves, breweries, cheese factories, viewing towers, a mega dam etc etc I know this because, it is my responsibility to arrange something for the free day our group has built into the Spa expeditionhttps://www.dropbox.com/s/j1nakp75kpkdwp1/Spa%20Ac...

Yah Eau Rouge was once the actual border between Belgium and German and the old building on the left as you walk up - inside the old road loop was the actual customs station... and the toilets in the lower pits were some official building too.... Has to be done. I'm also tripping to Spa for the first time for the WEC, similarly solo. Arriving in Belgium on the Friday morning, looks a fairly easy journey down to Spa, and camping in the 'official' site hopefully near the main entrance if there's still decent room at that time. There aren't a load of options in Francorchamps itself. A couple of places of the way up the hill from the circuit. The pizza place is ok for takeout but its easier to ring and collect than just show up. I've eaten in Relais Pommard one of the pubs on 24 hours week that was ok.If you want a few basics there is a garage near La Source entrance. There used to used to be a fantastic Frites stand near there but I can't remember it being there last season.
In the circuit the options aren't fantastic. Although on 24 hours weekend I do tend to pop to the restaurant above the F1 pits entrance at least once. It's a buffet and is pricey e18 or something like that, but it's good food and the view is amazing.
And if you go for the 24 hours, the comfy chairs are life saving with a coffee at 8am......
