Heard this talked about at Wheels Day and just had a look at the website: http://www.epsomclassicrally.co.uk/

Wondered if anyone might know anything about it? On the one hand, it's very local and for that reason it would be a shame not to attend, but on the other hand, charging "just" £29 to show your classic car is ludicrous and I'd only be prepared to pay that if I was guaranteed either a huge car show or one with exceptionally exotic classics. I've got absolutely no interested in those funny-shaped dog things that run around Epsom on that weekend, and the sort of people who regularly attend the Derby are the kind of people that I'd usually go out of my way to avoid.

I remember that with the old Chelsea AutoLegends, it was much cheaper to go as a spectator than to show your car and I wondered if that might be the case with this. The way the website's presented though, it gives the impression that it's not really a relaxed, friendly show open to the public but rather a private event for owners, who should feel 'privileged' to have been "offered the opportunity" (how kind).

Just posting this on the off-chance that someone is connected with the organisers and might know something. Cheers.

I think the point is that you get the entry to the hill included in the price and don't have to park with people trying to sell you a new drive.

Personally, it was a timely reminder for me to find somewhere other than Epsom to be!

It does sound rather like a £29 parking pass for derby day. They do mention a lot of people being there so I wonder if the cars would be secure?

As already mentioned, a timely reminder to avoid routes towards Epsom on the day.

Not forgetting that traffic will be terrible. So if your classic shows the slightest tendency to overheat probably best to avoid the queues.
