We’re meeting in Lisieux at 1:45pm, which is around 45 minutes/35 miles south of Le Havre.

Just come across this thread, is it too late for us to tag along?

We have four of us heading down in one car on the 07:20 Eurotunnel crossing on Thu 5th July, which means we should arrive at Calais around 08:55 local time. I guess that would make it difficult to make the 1st meeting point 60 mins from Calais for 09:30, unless we really pressed on! I guess we could barge on down the boring A-roads for a bit and catch you up for one of the later stops. Where would be a good place to catch you? Looks like the second & third stops might be off the menu now, but if there's a convenient point along the way that we could join, then it'd be nice to join some likeminded folk on some nice D-roads rather than plodding down the dull A-roads.

Nope, not too late.

Although I’ve planned a meeting time of 9:30am, we’ll not be setting off until 10:00am as there always seems to be at least one car running late!

So, you could probably make the first meeting point, although allowing for refuelling, catching a bite to eat and a having loo break might mean it’s a little bit frantic.

You could comfortably meet us at the second meeting point though. We’ll be there around 11:45am and will likely stop anyway to stretch our legs. Using the autoroutes from the Eurotunnel, the second meeting point is just over 2 hours away.

If you decide you’d like to join us, let me know and I’ll add you to the list.

Thanks :-) Could you add me to the list please?

I think what we'll do then is try to get to the Eurotunnel early and chance our luck at getting on a slightly earlier crossing. If not, we'll get to the first meeting point as quickly as we can, but if it's not looking like we'll get there for 10am, or if we miss you, we'll head on down to the 2nd meeting point. Sound ok?

Received ok, thanks!

Looks really good.

Only small prob I've encountered is the 5th /final section is too large to import into google maps.

Hmmm, not sure why that's not working. I've sent you an email with a new link. If it works for you, I'll forward to everyone else. Thanks for letting me know.

I cannot comment on the maps yet as I have the opportunity this weekend to teach myself how to load a route into my TomTom. To date it's only had postcodes and cities typed into it!

I echo the above and offer my thanks to Miner for getting this all together.

Not long now!!

I got the latest map files yesterday. Huge thanks to Miner49er for putting it all together, it's a really comprehensive bunch of info - much appreciated! Looking forward to it already!

Now I have about 2 weeks to dig out my insurance certificate and V5 before we head off!

4 pairs of shorts? Don't think I own four pairs.

Can I wear 1 pair 4 times?

Will this infringe the Classic dress code?

I don’t see why not - it’s only 5 days camping in 30 degree heat.

Oh, and I’ve just thought of something else to add to the list… Febreze.

As far as dress code goes, as long as you’re not wearing the team kit of whoever knocks France out the World Cup, I think they’ll just turn a blind nose.
