7-8 of us booked for our 2nd trip to Le Mans in 2018, after our first in 2016. We're at SpeedChills, BSJ again and looking forward to it (I'm half-packed already!)

Any other PHer's booked/booking onto SC BSJ?

I was there last time (RX8 and 205 GTI). Almost certainly will be back at that site again next year!

What crossing are you guys taking?
As you know, we're not staying at the circuit but could tie in on the run down if you fancy. I think we are planning on going via Reims

I went via Reims last time. It was great. Not overly busy on the roads on the way down so covered a lot of distance quite quickly. Reims was as good as ever! Then across to Le Mans.

This time I’m looking at the old N138 route or direct on the auto roads. I like to throw a few activities in there like Reims so we shall see what I can find on the other routes. Crossing on the Eurotunnel to Calais.

We didn't get that far in our last planning session:
beer
drink
beer
drink
drunk
vomit
...
That's something we need to book quite soon.

We're probably going to go out Thursday morning in a crossing around 6.30am and get down there early... If you're going to Reims, would you be going over fairlybearly too?

Update on my plans. The trip is in jeopardy. 2 drivers pulled out (one double booked himself and the other is having car issues). This means there are 5 people with only one car left (mine!). Unfortunately none of the others seem willing drive which means I will have to pull the plug unless either a new driver can be found or one of the group decides they can drive. One did offer to drive my car for a portion of the trip which was an interesting suggestion as a solution the problem...

I'm driving down alone to BSJ this year.... A little bit slowly as will be towing my bedroom, but I will get there on the Wed.... If it helps a hanger-on is welcome for fuel share.

Thank you for this offer! I hope we can resolve the issue asap. I will be seeing the team next week to find a solution.

Problem solved. Another person was double booked so we ended up down to 3 people. It will be manageable just about in the RX8. Going to be cosy for the person in the back. All booked and I will be there Thursday to Monday. Can't wait!

Also I noticed this year everything is selling out a lot quicker. Anyone else notice this? I booked in April last year and I had my choice of everything. This year all the campsites are nearly full and some of the grandstands are no longer available.

Yes I thought it was getting booked up, we normally have choice of grandstands right up to the last minute.... Must be the Alonso factor wink

3 up in an rx8! I hope your back seat passenger has rubber legs!

The person in the back will have drawn the short straw that’s for sure! I’ve already given them a warning to pack very small. No chance of fitting full size chairs, tables etc. Everything needs to fold down or be every small to fit.
