Yes, we camped in Maison Blanche a few times when we went in the bus. The picture is from back in 2002. We were based in Devon back then so we drove to Portsmouth and got the ferry over. It was great travelling at such a slow speed as we'd see plenty of exotica come past us and gives us a toot and a wave. One year one of our passengers decided to offer a bottle of beer to anyone driving a convertible. Happy times.

The great thing about parking in Maison Blanche back then was that from the top deck of the bus you could see over the fence and watch the racing.

I didn't actually, but now having reread your post it does actually come across as a bit arrogant.

An offer of hospitality to demonstrate that we can have "fun" is apparently "arrogant"?
