Houx Camping Map

Hi all,

Is the latest map for Houx still the 2015 one? We've got our tickets through and I can make out the range but the pitches inside are not the same anymore!

I haven’t seen one that shows where we camped on non numbered pitches last year. I am at test and will do some research.

I've done some research myself regarding the Houx map, and this is what I've come up with. I found a bit of the new map, not a complete new one, but enough I think to figure out how the new numbering system works.

Row 47 on the new map is the same as row 47 on the old, 2013 one.

Definitely the main Houx map.

Last year we were by the no5 row. On non numbered but these are not shown as non numbered on that map.

Any idea what the blank pitches are?

One's that have a tree taking up most of the plot. Good if you have the adjacent space as you can spread out a bit.

Some of them can't be in row 5 for example there are a number of pitches next to where we were and these didn't have anything that could prevent camping I am also sure there are no trees up in row 2.

I can never understand why the ACO don't let us have a map, it would save a lot of time when we arrive.

Maybe they make it up the week before!!

Its can't differ too much from the year before, Why can't they publish the 2017 one? A few fire pits and thats about all that can change. Not that a pitch that was a complete fire pit makes any difference!

That map looks fairly accurate with regard to the 'Range' but the numbering seems to be individual now per 'Range'

God bless the French, those plucky triers... I just don't know how anything can be so disorganised and still manage to maintain itself.
Our plot is two sets of 3 pitches, back-to-back, and at the end of a 'rang'. I can see the block they are in, but of course my tickets are numbered 1-20 (we have 1-3 and 18-20, as in previous years), but I can't for the life of me work out which end of the row they are on.

13 years visiting, and every year the same - clueless students wandering around the campsite, looking for flattened pitch 'flags'. It's hilarious how little your money buys you!

I love your optimism, but suspect you're going to return empty-handed. When we realised that the teenage boy escorting us to our numbered pitches was reading from an upside-down map drawn in biro, we just accepted that we'd probably have to find them ourselves.
Cue me (who had read my tickets and done my research) pointing out our pitches, and entering into a 5-minute argument in broken French - the lad eventually gave up, and we claimed our correct pitches.

Hilarious, and perfectly French.
