This might be the wrong forum but they are for use on our le mans trip.

We need some new walkie talkies, one of our team has bought some of these.

http://www.lusonic.com/product-1759-Uniden-SPL2CK

I was going to buy some Motorola T80's

https://www.radio-solutions.co.uk/motorola-tlkr-t8...

They are both pmr446 so will they talk to each other? The suppliers are being a little non committal!

The only reason I'm not buying more Uniden is that they seem pretty scarce in the UK so I'm concerned that they might not be brilliant.

Thanks
D

Everyone has them and you end up in some bonkers conversations with lots of different groups of walkie talkie users... Good times.

We have an earlier model of that Motorola and they're good... they do the job is what I mean. Great investment for Le Mans as it makes getting around so much easier!

Unless as we found out, that you can't hear at 130km/h and reverted to mobiles.

The ones we had last year were much less effort than mobiles and easy to hear at speed. On further investigation it seems they might be slightly illegal!

I went to Jerez for the MotoGP the other week. We used a walkie-talkie app. called Zello, Worked well. I hope inclusive data roaming continues after Brexit.

Some legal matters you perhaps ought to consider.
