The end of A28 to A11 to A28 (east of LM0 always seems a ballache and snarled up.
Looking at the roads, is the D338 an option? Although its through LM it appears to be dual carriageway and would pop us out at Tertre Rouge where we are camping this year.

Go to Stanfords website, get yourself a street map of Le Mans and then work out the best route around the west side of the town to get to the circuit. It is also well signposted by the way!

Depends where you're coming from, going to and when you're arriving.

In general the N138 (it will never be the D338 for some of us) is fine down from North of Le Mans but tends to get slower and more congested the closer you get to the circuit.

If you're coming south on the A11 I'd jump off at the D6 junction north of Le Mans and point your satnav at Savigne l'Eveque. From there you can get on the D20BIS which runs over the A11 and down parallel to the A28 to the east of Le Mans on to the D323 - at which you start joining the near-circuit traffic which is unavoidable.

If you can line up with it, the D20BIS is the best way to get on the dual carriageway / ring road that passes the circuit. For Tertre Rouge turn off at the Mulsanne / Tours exit and Tertre Rouge camping entrance (outside track) is on right just under bridge or turn right on slip road just after roundabout / mulsanne straight road closure, down the side and back of stella bar and under mulsanne straight for inside of track Tertre Rouge entrance which is for Team Langoustine camping. smile

For Tertre Rouge we always used to follow the signs for the big carrefore, they do do remove them and once there you just follow the road (d338) to the circuit, However after 30 years plus i kn ow my way around now.

Always remember that the temp sign posts are there to disperse traffic around and are not the most direct route to anywhere, best avoid using them.
