Normally it all goes wrong for Toyota after midnight which one will fail first.
Alonso's car. Whilst he's driving it. And it will be engine failure.

Whoops Toyota #8 gets a stop (3 minute stop) and go for speeding in the pit lane
as said later, 60 secs Stop and Go for Slow Zone violation ?

onboard with Buemi on Eurosport showed him accelerating past 2 yellow lights just after Arnage with the audio counting down to Green and was virtually 1-2 secs left as he booted it.....Eurosport audio is notorious for delay but he still looked as though he went early?

Brand new chassis as well. They're certainly ripping through the RSR chassis' this year.

No, not until the last hour of the race.

He might legitimately close the gap though

Fred starts his night stint - can he turn this around in the next 2 1/2 hours and catch the #7 car 1 lap down?

Checking in here now. First Le Mans I've watched with the wife and kids home (usually I get to send them away for the weekend). I've not even been drunk yet and only eaten half a 'share me you fat fk' bag of Doritos. Worst Le Mans ever. Just caught up with everything now by going through the highlights and this thread (which seems quieter than previous years).

Who was the M8 driver who kept flashing everyone to put them off? Seemed a right penis that guy. The M8 looks fantastic though, especially the rear end, sounds nice too.

He won't be satisfied with anything less. He has gone on record as saying that he doesn't want the hollow victory of a gifted / arranged win.

(My words, not his)

Typical BMW driver no?

That was a big stint from Alonso in the early hours. Gap to #7 was cut from over 2 mins to 35secs and is now down to 10sec with Nakajima (who just stopped for fuel).

Porsche holding 1-2 still in the GT Pro.

It's a shame that GTE Pro has been a big disappointment due to the pink pig getting lucky with slow zone and safety car so ended it as a race if it runs clean

To be fair it's still been a pretty good battle!

Attrition seems to be kicking in, lots of bits of suspension on the wobble

We'll agree to disagree. Given the build up GTE Pro has been a big let down for me. But a Porsche walkover was obvious given the BoP, no one else had a chance

Morning!

I gave up at 11, but was very tired. Been back up since 6:30 though! I caught up with Eurosports update website, but I don't think a huge amount happened. I was partly expecting all sorts of crashes - it doesn't seem to be that sort of race (yet?).

I bailed at midnight, but I'd been up since 4.30!

Hell of a pace by the 8 car to overturn the 2 minute deficit it had..

Fair enough! I feel a nap coming this afternoon...

Yes, I agree, overcoming that deficit was some going.
