Did you camp: yes on Epinettes

How much was it? - need to check, standard ACO prices. Its a cheaper option than the gated/private sites, i haven't had any concerns about security etc - it suits us.

How far did you have to walk to the paddock? not too far - out of the site, across chemin aux bouefs and through the Houx access road. 10-15 mins to the village, 15-20 mins to the main viewing areas.

Was there long queues for the toilets and shower? At peak times, some queuing for both. 5 mins for toilet, could be 15mins+ for shower between 8-10am. And the site wasn't full by any stretch.

Would you stay there next year? Yes. Our usual spot for the main race is Garage Vert, Epinettes is a good alternative though.

Personally I think staying on BSJ is crazy - its so far to anywhere. The only way to do that is a Lycian/private type set up and almost never leave as you have everything you need provided there and trackside viewing at Porsche Curve.

We did bleu with speed chill, excellent, onsite catering and bar all reasonably priced, and a packed lunch for the circuit if you fancied it, the only thing we agreed we would do differently was to have grandstand tickets, it was piggin hot in the sun!
Fantastic event, particularly watching the cars getting onto the grid after dark, very evocative.
Yup, was brilliant setup

Didnt go this year but have been before - Speed Chills on Blu Sud is fabulous but have also camped off site with Le Mob (not sure of they are still going) which was superb, but it was a fag driving in and out as always needed a beer free driver.

Like Eastsider was on Epinettes too £260ish for the tickets for 2, camping, general access and paddocks.

Ferry Portsmouth - Cean was £316 return with cabins and night ferry.

I'd stay there again as showers and loos where kept clean and queues not so bad if you went outside of the rush.

I bought an event shelter for the trip which despite only just fitting in the Chimaera along with all out camping gear and a PITA to have to get out every time I wanted to put the roof back on was invaluable to give some shade. Would take it again or may buy a smaller version.

did you opt for a room with a Bath and no AC or a room with AC which wasn't working anyway laugh

In terms of convenience, price, relative civility and closeness to main pit complex, Porsche curves, Arnage etc it is hard to argue with Blu Nord camping. I wouldn't bother with BSJ again - too big and dusty. It was crazily hot though wherever you were!!!
