Just realised Motors Tv is no longer on Freesat and has now gone to a pay on line streaming channel, £4 a month £40 a year. Shame as I used to enjoy watching the cars go round.

And you won't pay £4 to "watch the cars go round"?

C70R - my comment was more about the switch off Freesat onto online rather than the money.

But I don't understand why you can't watch "the cars go round" any longer. It's just a case of £4 and plugging your laptop into the TV...

Just to clarify the above point. I spend just under half a year in Spain where I have a freesat tv system on a 4ft dish and no internet unless I go to the local library where it's dodgy to say the least. Therefore Motors on Freesat ticked all the boxes both here and in Spain.

I regularly stream things like Netflix/Amazon/BBC OTA on my mobile. Surely this is the answer.
Even the most basic home broadband package should be good enough to watch on a tablet/laptop.

If I could get broadband good enough to watch races on I would, seeing as there's loads of stuff I'd love to watch which I can't.

Well I'm on satellite broadband so the signal has to go to space even if I don't live there
