Any stories about Expo?

My second time at Le Mans next year, was at Bleu Nord in 2015 and had a blast!

I'm in Expo next year and hear it isn't as good.

Isn't as good as....what?

What are you looking for?

tts with piss filled water pistols ruining your car interior/loud Euro Techno until 0500? Or a good nights sleep with limited chance of kleptomaniac neighbours?

As good as Bleu Nord?

The Techno doesn't bother me , you aren't at Le Mans to have a good sleep smile

General Atmosphere , Likelyhood of having stuff pinched.

Blue Nord felt like it was in the centre of the action which was good fun. Expo seems a little bit more tucked away looking at the maps.

Thanks

Expo won't be as 'mad' as Bleu Nord if that's what you mean.

Different campsites have different characteristics. If you want to swap your Expo for Bleu Nord I wouldn't think you'd have much of a problem. Bleu Nord seems to attract a certain typre of race goer that the others don't.

Been at Expo many times. Some good , some bad. Easy to walk into circuit and close to decent if busy bars. The Danes used to set up a huge tent for food and drink which works well, may still do. Toilets and showers will be s hit - long queues and probably overflowing by Thursday. Expect some t wat with crop bird scarer playing silly buggers at 2:00 am on Saturday morning. Be wary after race finishes and security on gate leave as local pi keys move in to take away abandoned tents and anything left behind. We used to stay until Monday morning and we always made sure someone was around after race ended to protect stuff that could walk and we would eat by tent on Sunday night. Probably most of downside common to other sites though.

Danes weren’t there last year,I was told they were priced out of it so that field was empty, shame as it’s always a good laugh in their marquee. Bogs are terrible, even worse than bsj, security did stay on after the race, we stayed till the Monday and they were there. On the plus side it’s close to the main entrance or the one by the big stage, close to the little bar and within walking distance of the tram into Le Mans. No way is it £70 better than bsj though. I’ve done expo twice and used the FACILITIES last year as we got put in the car park next door as bsj was flooded and they didn’t want campers in there.
