Good from about 20ft!! rofl

We got passed by just about everyone on the way down!! Insta-veg oil regret coupled with a cool box strapped to the roof meant some seriously slow hills coming out of Calais!

Thanks to the folks that, willing or not, let us do some drafting behind them clap

It's still outside my house in full splendor - don't want to take it all off!!

That's a great effort...i feel your pain regarding stickers and not wanting to remove them.

Take a stiff drink, remove stickers, set up your planning group for next year. By the end of July the depression should have gone

Only 2 stickers left on now....cue MrsC tonight coming home tonight & my little car out on the drive “when are you taking those off? & then “How old are you?”

hehe I didn’t need to answer, though it was worth it yes

Just deciding whether I can swing my first trip to the Classic next year & a trip to the 24hrs with the excuse it’s a “significant” birthday year?! scratchchin

Mrs wsn moaned about my 2 tiny stickers on the family car after Moto 24. I took them off and all the additional big stickers as soon as I came home from the Le Mans 24hr car race...but more for the cold shower effect on a hangover.

I managed to do both the car and bike races based on a special birthday year.

Next year im doing both again and the classic. To get the bike race through im taking her son for the experience because he didn't get to see it and it turned out to be really good...so she can't really deny him (especially as he managed not to get run over at his first Le Mans car race this year. I'll suffer the pain of being away from her just for him.beer

For the classic Im simply bringing her under the guise that I really want her to experience Le Mans and this is the posh version. Throw in hotel with health club and she's bought it! It's better than not seeing it at alllaugh

The stickers on the Jurassic Lupo should 100% stay on the car.

My car has a few stickers ,they're not going anywhere.

Their argument wasn't about adding any performance, more that the stickers may cause other drivers to stare at them and loose concentration, therefore representing a higher risk than a non stickered car.

Anyway my Pal found himself uninsured due to stickers on his car. I've stickered my own car in the past on a Le Man trip and never even thought to speak to the insurance company, but I certainly would if I did it again.
Evidently I understood their argument wasn't about added performance but it seemed they genuinely felt the car was "modified".
I gather the argument of distraction but still it doesn't make sense...by the same logic they'd refuse or charge higher for cars in bright colours ? Or vans of contractors displaying attention-seeking publicity regarding their business?

Really lame excuse for refusing a pay-out. But good to know and let's hope no one else here has to hear such nonsense.
Insurance companies and Brokers are vultures mad they will do everything possible to wiggle out of paying.
All the above makes sense, thats why I have an agreed value classic policy with all mods and stickers declared.

For pece of mind its worth contacting your insurance company, but for christ sake don't tell them your on a rally or anything like that or they will cancel your policy.
Why would a broker attempt to wriggle out of a claim that are not paying? The insurer pays the claims. If the broker can't get the claim paid at best they will have a disgruntled customer and a at worst they will lose a client.

I've never seen a broker try and stop a claim being paid, it's just not in their interest.

Spotted an old Landy sporting 24hr stickers still in Farnborough today. Loving you're still rocking them!

Ah yeah, saw those 3 cars a few times on the way down, I think you all overtook us a few times on the way down, first on the A34, we were on the same ferry.
It took us a while to sort our dash cam pictures out.
One picture every 5 seconds.

We got you!

Almost immediately after merging onto the A34

Tertre Rouge camping stickers from 18 and 19 are still on the van, earlier ones sadly lost to a new windscreen
