We made it there last year, was a bit off a faff but ultimately you could drive and park adjacent to half way down the Mulsanne, we found the Chinese was closed during the race. There is a fairly new restaurant called Poivre Rouge which was open and empty and we sat there and had a 'non 24 hour' priced meal whilst watching the cars go past ....

I see exactly what you are saying now and I agree that it seems reasonable - as long as you don't try it during the race! You go from MMA under Tertre Rouge, but that is where your route falls flat on its face. At the Stella bar you can no longer go straight on across the tram tracks because that road has become one way against you. You are forced to turn left up on to the dual carriageway, go to the next exit, go to Bois Martin, come back to Ruaudin and trace your route from there. I know - I live south of Ruaudin!
Yes it is a faff by car on racing, of course we dont have these issues on the bicycle. The road that runs down to the hotel area (parallel to Chemin Au Boueffs) is also one way now for cars.
I went by car in 2017...that was interesting...I got quite lost trying to be clever. To get back to Tetre Rouge I basically had to keep heading South until I came near to Hotel Arbor, to rejoin the road that you hit at the end of Chemin au Boueff....its a big loop but its ok as long as you head away from the circuit the road systems are just normal.

I use the Bois Martin route to get to my site generally - easy when you know how!!!

You live in a very nice part of the world

The place im talking about is only 2/3 full...its a Le Mans menu but definitely not at a Le Mans price!!!

Being around that area all the way down to Hotel Arbor is what makes it for me, I just love the whole section. Quiet, atmospheric.

Its cool to see the contrast when you head back to Tetre Rouge at around midnight
