I towed my caravan onto Houx last year for the thirteenth time full of glass bottles of beer, not immediately obvious, granted. But I also had glass jars, and other glass items in it.
The next day I returned from Carrefour with 80 bottles of wine in the boot of the Range Rover. No issue at all. I think it was pretty obvious they were for transport to the UK though.

Last time I entered the circuit from the Houx side the glass search wasn't being done at the campsite entrance, just tickets but by some bod at the foot route from the campsite to circuit proper, who was only checking for glass, not checking tickets. The next day I returned from Carrefour with 80 bottles of wine in the boot of the Range Rover. That is true. Always searched going in on foot. But so easy to circumvent, one of you goes through with an empty rucksack, your mate passes the drink through the chain link 100 yds further on, then goes through the 'checkpoint' empty handed.
Watched loads of groups doing this last year.

So will you show that to the grubby security guard and expect him to say ah yes ok instead of stripping the booze from you and into the skip so you have to spend more at the bars?
I ask them that and the answer was yes.chasingracecars said:
Could someone do the chat in French and get the same response or a better one?
Then post that as I think your right it will not work in English.
That assumes some of them can read...Then post that as I think your right it will not work in English.
Judging by the patchy performance, random aggression and inability to follow basic logic (I'm looking at you, Bleu Sud guards that kept directing rare breed classics with odd tyre sizes over concrete strewn with two inch nails), I don't expect much.

I asked for it in French and they sent it to me. Translated back into English it says - Then post that as I think your right it will not work in English.
According to the rules set by the ticketing service, visitors can come with 1L of beer per person.

You could try the age old tactic the deliberate find - cheap pack of Skoll whoops sorry sir there you go.
Keep the good stuff hidden
You could be adventurous and build fake floors in the boot and floor of the car so all appears normal on a look but there are 20 slabs of 24 cans hidden away
my old volvo estate had a hidden tray under the carpeted boot. could get loads of beer in there, took the spare wheel out too. Keep the good stuff hidden
