PistonHeads Friday Service Le Mans 2019
It wouldn't be a PH trip to Le Mans without a Friday Service, would it? Here's how to be there
With our annual pilgrimage to Le Mans just around the corner, it's time to announce another fantastic Friday Service to kick the weekend off in the right way. Here's what you need to know to join us.
On Friday June 14th we'll be back at the Classic British Welcome at the Val-de-Vray centre in Saint-Saturnin. The CBW, if you haven't been before, is an amazing little festival where we'll be joined by over 1,000 classic and sports cars - it really is the perfect way to get you in the mood for the weekend of racing ahead.
Each year the CBW features a celebrated manufacturer to focus the even around, and this year we will be celebrating the 110th anniversary of Morgan Motor Company - so if you have something extra special from Malvern you're planning on bringing, be sure to get in contact to receive the red carpet treatment on the day. There will also be the Saint-Sat' Cavalcade at 4pm, routing to the 24 Hours Drivers' Parade in Le Mans town centre. Of course, the weekend isn't just about the cars, as the amazing atmosphere also plays a big part drawing the crowds that the CBW does year after year. To that end there will also be live music, bars, restaurants, a cinema and paintings all based on the Le Mans 24 Hours.
This year we again have space for 200 cars in our area - and as usual there is a fairly strict entrance criteria for our space; only sports cars or classic cars, no SUVs or other 'ordinary' cars can be let in unfortunately. If you are unsure on whether your car meets the CBW's criteria, then email info@classicbw.org and they will let you know. There will also be a shuttle bus for a park and ride off site as there was previously; the site this year is different (and much better), and we will update you in the thread below when we know more and have a map to share. So get yourself signed up to our calendar here, and check out the CBW's website here for any more info you might need!
As promised, here is the map for the Park & Ride - it's very easy to get to; Leave the A11 motorway and turn north towards Saint-Saturnin on the D338.
At the roundabout, continue straight ahead and the Park & Ride is approximately 400 metres on the left. It will be clearly sign posted.
Do we need a PistonHeads windscreen sticker to be directed to the PH area?
Cheers
But yes, you'll need the PH windscreen badge to get directed to our area (I'll send this out later this week to give everyone plenty of time to print it off). And yes, if you're in a classic or sports car skip the park and ride and come straight to our area!
See you all there, not long now
The Classic British Welcome only allows classic and sports cars into their venue. If you are unsure if you'll be allowed in, please contact info@classicbw.org for confirmation.

I am thinking the S2000 should be ok. My son's EP3 CTR might not...

Dave has said you can use contact@classicbw.org OR go to the English 'Contact Us' page
I've just been invited to be one of the live acts at the CBW. Hope to meet any PHers who are around.
I'll also play the new song 100K Miles (The Le Mans Song) which I've posted a bit about elsewhere on PH: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IxHGOEKBg4
Please have a listen if you're into rock music and hit me up if you want a download for the journey down but don't have iTunes or Spotify.
Hope to see some people there, hopefully in the sunshine!
