Considering going to my first le mans in 2021 with my wife, if they get decent showers and toilets I'd be interested in somewhere quieter and would certainly appreciate a message if you remember!

Yes I'll keep a note, and if they do build decent washrooms I'll update this thread and I'll get in touch Sept 2020. It would be perfect IF the washrooms were built, obviously if not then no place for wife.

I would be in for 2021 with potentially around half a dozen others. Think I may skip next year but would like somewhere that wasn't overpriced or madness!

£150 / tent or £200 / motorhome is steep, isn't it - when there are rudimentary services? OK, electricity and quiet is noted. smile

I know we were on the (refugee camp) of Bleu Nord again this year, but we had a block of 4 pitches from Team Langoustine for about £300 on which we had 2 cars, 5 tents / people, and an event shelter. BN's stters and showers were good this year.

5 tents on your chap's area would be £750 vs. £300

My group (8+) is looking at another site and this looks great - apart from the toilets..

Put me down as interested - but if the current loos are a distance away that could be a deal breaker for at least one of our party..

Well it looks like I can bring a lot of people to his site.

Im going to get someone to call him in Sept to:
A) confirm shower and loos
B) Drop price (last year was 50 quid less!)

I am there in April so can check / inspect, giving people enough time to make another booking if not completed. I will warn him of this too.

Leave it with me chaps, and I will collect email addresses and chat with you in September

Anyone else please put your name on here. Questions please fire away

It was 50% less last year!!!. We like it so don't care about the price, but you're right. Im going to get the riot act read to him - I have some 25 people for you next year, £100 / tent, and loos and shower finished in April or no one will turn up

This place is perfect if he does this. If he doesnt I might see if he'll sell it, I know someone who might want it and would put in proper facilities

Registering my interest though either for le mans classic next year or regular from 2021 - start of hypercar class

Loved the trip this year but the toyota dominance at the front less so, and bugger to tire sensors it was an orchestrated alonso win and mike conway et. al. were robbed.

I have never been to Le Mans and planning to come next year with wife and boys, 20 & 26. I was looking for somewhere to camp, and am totally up for this. Where is the best place to buy tickets?

You can buy them direct from ACO, from the various third party private campsite operators ( see www.beermountain.com/p/campsites.html which details reviews of the various campsites including the public ACO site and private ones ) or simply buy a general access ticket at the gate (cheapest option).

Noted, I'll add you to the list and contact you in September.
We bought our tickets at the entrance to Tetre Rouge this year, far cheaper than ordering them from agents in the UK

I did try to send you a email but your profile prohibits it
