Le Mans 2020 - Register your interest now!

With autumn having arrived in no uncertain fashion, what better time to be thinking about next summer?

Yep, it's that time of year again! With summer now over, and winter just about peeking over the horizon, it's time to start planning for Le Mans 2020. Next year we'll be heading back once more with our longstanding partner, 1st Tickets. As usual there will be two fantastic camp sites to choose from, and many perks to accompany them...

Our regulars will agree that the PH campsite is the best place to stay in Le Mans on race weekend, and with this list of perks it's easy to see why;

General admission to the race. - Up to five-day return Channel crossings are available. - Pre-allocated camping pitches mean there's no rush, your space will be set out for you whenever you arrive. - Free Wi-Fi access. - Cooked meals included (3x full English breakfast and 3x evening meals) - Fenced perimeter for your peace of mind. - On-site security, including night patrols at the weekend, to protect your car and belongings. - Private toilets and warm showers, so no long queues for the facilities. - Large marquee with a cash bar - a social hub for all campers whatever the weather, with live TV coverage of the race so you don't miss any of the action.

With 2020 being the final year of the LMP1 class, it's not one to miss out on. So, to enjoy yet another fantastic Le Mans, and witness the end of an era, be sure to register your interest here - those that do will have early access to buy...

See you there!

Link here (given it’s a PH partner).....

There are many different options for travel, so unless you’ve time to try the various options on the configurator, it might be easier if you email them with an initial duration/preference on crossing & they’ll tailor your quote (& can also organise grandstand tickets etc if required) . The campsite options range from just having a secure camping pitch at PH towers on Bleu Nord to pre-erected tents with brekkie & evening meals included for all of your stay (the option I take aka as “glamping” smile ).

BTW, I’m Staffs based too & we travel late on the Wednesday afternoon (overnight ferry to Caen) & return on the Monday afternoon if you’re interested? I’m still a newbie after going for 7 yrs compared to many!

Thanks for that.

I've never been, it's about time though..

No way i'll get a pass from the missus for a "selfish" week long trip, no matter how many times I say it's just along weekend frown

I was thinking travel Friday, come back Monday would be plenty, I'm not bothered about watching practice and there's only so much beer I can drink...

The Calais to Normandy drive has been good when I've been to France before, but maybe not this weekend? A bit busy?

i am Interested in this , have you guys used this company before ?

I have only been to Le Mans once before and that was on a bike with tent strapped to it ,

This time Im looking at going in a car with a friend , would you say it better to book a whole package type deal ?

And finally do you know when they put this package up for sale , I did register with them .

Many thanks for any replies

It’ll be my 8th consecutive yr at the LM24 & I’ve always been with PH/1st Tickets. There are undoubtedly cheaper options though I take the adage you get what you pay for & I don’t want to be hauling camping gear (especially damp/wet stuff) in my little car nor having to cater for myself so I pay accordingly by taking the pre-erected tent & catering options. I’d expect 1st Tickets to be working their way through the interest they’ve received in the next few weeks now the ACO have confirmed their allocation (which I understand happened very recently).
