The bike 24 hr is in April normally, so they get a lot of darkness - I think from around 7 - 8pm.
It's also held on the Bugatti circuit rather than the full Sarthe circuit though and I think the Bugatti is fully floodlit, unlike the public road sections of the Sarthe? We walked round only in daylight hours so not sure how good the lighting is
I'm not too bothered by the % daylight/% dark. I'm much more concerned with - How with the official PistonHeads weather-forecasting cat cope with the date changes!
Does the tent still have to come out for an airing at the same time as normal or will that just give us a June forecast, meaning the tent actually needs to come out 3 months later?

Excellent point about the cat.
I'll make no claims for my Crystal Ball being any better than anybody else's, but I just can't see an international endurance motor race happening as early as this September. I would be delighted to be proven wrong, but with Wimbledon, Glastonbury, Olympics, Edinburgh Fringe, much-of-F1, etc, etc giving up on 2020, I'm guessing that Le Mans will have to go the same way.

I've been told unofficially November by someone who knows someone from lab testing dead people...no.idea if its true.
My stepson had all the symptoms late January- NHS Direct told me a couple of weeks ago ut sounds like the virus. The dry cough only properly finished about 3 weeks ago.
Infant Daughter caught the same, and the Mother-in-law who lives with us

Yep, something hit me Xmas day 2019. Woke up with a sore throat but that was all. Went to my folk's place for Xmas dinner etc and even after washing down lots of booze, my throat was still giving me the old GBH.
27th December 2019: I'm at the Hilton next to Gatwick Airport (south). The next morning I was due to fly out to Hong Kong for work reasons. During the evening, I popped to the South Terminal's Wetherspoons and ordered Burger + chips and a pint of Magners. I couldn't taste any of it? And I even have the WhatsApp messages I sent to my mates, at the time, about not being able to taste my dinner and cider. At that point, I felt fully loaded with a "cold" but was the first time I'd ever lost my sense of taste at what I thought was such an early stage. I bought some Beechems Cold and Flu capsules and had an early night.
28th December 2019: boarded the Cathay Pacific flight for Hong Kong and immediately noticed that the FA's in Business Class who greeted me all had "colds", many doing their upmost to hide a "runny nose". FA took my "lunch order" and she was visibly struggling with a cold. As the flight progressed, I noticed that just about everyone in Business Class was sniffing and coughing. I tried to get some kip and was unable to, mainly due to sweating like a biatch and my "cold" getting much worse.
29th December 2019: landed in HK and disembarked feeling proper dazed and had just about lost my voice. I put it all down to having a cold + no sleep.
By around 2nd Jan, the whole thing had cleared up. The only thing which stood out about it all was losing taste so early - had happened only once to me and that was in 1999 when, oddly enough, I woke up Xmas Day with the worst cold I've ever had...I was bedridden for about 4 days but was OK to hit the pub on New Years Eve, but noticed I couldn't taste my beers...lol
So here's the kicker about the whole thing. I visited Venice, Italy, on 21/22 December 2019...so who knows? Could have been just a "cold" but to me it seemed like a backward cold in that the symptoms you'd normally get at the end were at the start?
Just got full refund back from 1st Tickets for 2x full PH camping trip with ferry etc...
Fantastic painless service. Brilliant.
Minus £150 which they've sent in vouchers to use at any event with them in the next 2 years.
If i don't use the vouchers then i get the £150 back too at the end of voucher period.
Win win.
See you next June with any luck

Not sure whether to cancel my ferry and move it. I also have my doubts as to whether it will happen this year.
Move it as the ferry company will then give you credit from september if you dont go valid for 12 months and it costs nothing to move it. Ferries are really cheap at the moment as no one is booking themGood point. DFDS Newhaven are only offering free rebooking for crossings before 31 May, otherwise, I think its £10 each way. This date is rolling forward, so I'll wait till its free. Plus, you can rebook up to 30th June 2021, so it might be good for next year.
Newhaven and Dover/Calais appear to be running normally, but Brittany Ferries are down to two boats from 10.

In all seriousness some weird stuff happened last year.
November 16 I started working on my mates fencing project. I went home with a cold that night. The cold lasted until Dec 26. It took some very strange forms, including full blown flu for about 4 days, various sore throats, but nothing major, just felt sty for the whole time and weak.
What is scary is that a bit of strain on my back caused by the cement mixing, followed by some work on an extractor hood at home in an awkward position, and I basically lost the use of my back from Boxing Day to about late January. I put it down to back strain caused by all the work and the usual training etc...however it was properly serious the way I became so useless, I could barely walk at one point.
Clearly my body's ability to recover from anything was a bit shot to pieces. To be fair November and December is eat st time, drink lots, smoke...coming from a very healthy regime from the months leading up to it, so an accident waiting to happen. Yes, I am an idiot, but a very happy one at that time of year.
I was contracting in a very international company throughout the period up to Dec 20th. Probably all sorts being flown into the offices, and that's what makes me a tiny bit suspicious. Hard to know.
My stepson's virus in Jan is a dead cert, probably picked up from a kid in the class carrying it from a Dad returning from a Far East business trip.4 days fever, sore throat, dry cough that lasted heavy for 4 weeks, then light but persistent for at least another 4 after that - and breathless!
I hope this is the end of China as a global hub as the media seem to think it will be, they have been brewing fatal diseases for years, this was an accident waiting to happen. I've driven past the wild animal food markets, absolutely one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen.

Was reading last night that a Japanese person managed to re-infect having had it once already.
Im starting to think we wont return to international racing until vaccines are widely available. 2021? I hope im wrong.
Its the mass movement of people across international borders that could be the problem.
Im not going to book anything at this stage :-(

I agree with you. I don't think we're going to see any motor events this year. Of course, I hope I'm wrong. Im starting to think we wont return to international racing until vaccines are widely available. 2021? I hope im wrong.

I emailed DFDS to change my crossings for Le Mans with them last weekend, going out Newhaven/Dieppe back Calais/Dover and they have changed them with no fee. Now of course there may be a problem if the race doesnt happen in September but travel is allowed.FredericRobinson said:
Highly unlikely, the Tour de France has been put back to the end of August, I reckon that's the one to watch, presumably they'll need to decide a good month to 6 weeks before hand at the latest
I was guessing 2 months, just because of all the logistics, planning, media, etc etc.More notice the better
Im now focusing on next year, and I'll make it a really good one. N24 and Le Mans in the same trip
