What I should be doing now
Discussion
I would have been spending the weekend filling the freezer with as many water filled plastic containers as I could, to get the mega Igloo cooler off to a good start.
We normally travel on the Tuesday (sometimes early, sometimes late) so Monday's of LM week are either the last day of work (mostly spent on PH and TenTenths looking at other people's preparations and pictures from the structineering etc) or a free day sorting out packing.

Right now I should be sweating out the first hangover of the trip, whilst struggling to get through an almond croissant from the bakery in Mulsanne. Then straight into Carrefour to stock up on beer, merguez, beer, cheese and beer.
Hadn't really sunk in until just now.
I bet your liver's happy now thoughHadn't really sunk in until just now.

Anyone checked the weather forecast??? I did kind of glad I am not all set up over there with that forecast!
Its not a great forecast, but I'd still rather be there getting wet than sitting at home thinking about it. Planning for next year is helping a little - I have 14 coming because of the problems this year, going to be a megga logistical exercise for me.chasingracecars said:

We survived last year's Spa 6 Hours, so we could have handled this Le Mans weather too, although I must admit, I prefer it to be a bit sunnier and drier myself too. Edited by vincegail on Monday 8th June 14:26
scrutinering in september has been moved to the circuit not in town.... and test day cancelled The St Saturnin event might be cancelled no decision yet. Moto 24 on Bugatti is run without spectators... If they can't have spectators for the 24h, I don't see it running and how will they police the woods???... Without the income from spectators, the event just becomes very costly for both club and town.... the samme dilemma that Nurnberg found themselves in for the DTM race... which has been cancelled

Interesting. Daily deaths in France are now quite low, they might be able to sort something out for Sept, it is 3 months away.Edited by Great Dane on Monday 8th June 14:28

Although we were going on Wednesday this year... but early doors. Booking changed to September - I'll start purchasing longjohns and a better sleeping bag!!!
A real shame that the event can't happen - I'd usually be making sure I've got the RLM podcasts downloaded for the journey down and a copy of Autosport for the Guide.
I'd normally be frantically cursing the late driver changes and attempting to update an Android App that I have had for a few years now, which has photos of the cars, driver line-ups and a brief description of each entry and ensuring I had enough teabags (sad I know!! but I'm not a coffee drinker).
I'll be catching the virtual race this coming weekend, with a few Merguez on the barbecue (off of Amazon!!)
