Travel Destinations and Tickets2u are the same company (if you hadn't realised), Tickets2u is for those who only want tickets, not a travel package, these customers are very much treated like 2nd class
Can't say I felt treated any 2nd class this year, when I phoned TD and they said that for what I wanted T2U would be cheaper and transferred my call across.

Thanks Lowdrag as ever. Always good to have someone local in the know. I suppose we’ll have to wait and see how long we’ll be parked up before they open the gates to campsites.
What do you mean? If you've a camping ticket, you'll have an allocated pitch usually. I know some sites are still free for all, but not many.

Indeed, a rather bizarre comment. We’ve used T2U for over 5 years and never had an issue with them. All they do is sell tickets and then post them to you. I wonder if Fred meant the postage was 2nd class?

I am hoping the campsites open Tuesday so we can be sorted before things start to happen on Wednesday.

That's a link to 2019 info. Has that been confirmed for 2020?

Why would 2019 info have Sept dates? All they've done is reuse the 2019 campsite/car park info sheets.

I’ve registered with 1st tickets hoping someone drops out or general tickets and camping go back on sale. I haven’t been before as to busy but the September date works for me if I can attend.

One of our party has a spare Beasejour ticket available. If you have camping you can get General entrance. I can ask if you would like?

Garage Vert has always been a free for all. No allocated numbered pitches. No allocated electricity. If you want what you want you get there early. I was concerned about what day and time the gates were opened,

I note in that link it states:

"Your vehicle and your camping equipment (tent, tables, chairs, etc.) must fit on the 35m² pitch"

That seems much bigger than the normal size. Are they marking out every campsite?

In the old days all campsites were open, with no allocated spaces, but few are these days, even the open sites (you choose where to camp) have marked spaces and officials trying to stop people taking larger spaces than they have paid for.

Thanks Tyre Smoke.

So that will work for most sites, such as Blue Nord where its all marked out for you, but what about places like Mulsanne?

Can't help you there I'm afraid. Only ever camped in Maison Blanche when it was a free for all and the last 12 years in Houx, which was the first with allocated pitches I think.

Marking on BSJ depends on time in the week, weather, mood and general chitchat... We always have a far larger pitch than our normal initial attendance (as some arrive later) and it's not usually a problem negotiating a larger area.

Isn't that because BSJ hardly ever fills to bursting?

That said last year and the year before there were a lot of gaps on Houx.
