We are travelling Newhaven /Dieppe in my MGCGT, staying on Epinettes. (Please excuse Garage shot, rather than some glamorous location!)

Nice car - and nice garage! I have a cotton reel for the same purposes as your wee football on a string. Works a treat!

That trick with cotton reel/tennis ball etc is something I learnt from my dad many years ago. We had quite a small length garage and my Dad had an MG Magnette at the time and to my 10 year old eyes that old tennis ball hanging from the ceiling was a clever and simple answer to an age old problem; works every time!

Hahaha, same here, except in my case it was my father-in-law with an Austin Cambridge Countryman. Pin-point accurate though.

The MX5 sadly, wife wasn't keen on my 5 year old traveling all the way in the 924 without Aircon

Not the end of the world the 924 has been plenty of times before we are staying with 1st tickets really excited as I haven't taken the boy before!

Hope to meet you there & talk C & D type Jags .

Unfortunately my Suffolk C type is not finished yet . Instead bringing the Interceptor which is a slightly more comfortable alternative with more packing space ;-)

That’s a lift out sunroof isn’t it, so windows down and a bit of pace and you’ll be fine
