I think you do if you are travelling unvaccinated with a PCR test, if you are vaxed I think we just have to fill in a declaration de sanitaire...or how ever you spell it
Good to know thanks. The declaration is covered when you provide details for the eurotunnel crossing? Otherwise we can just show the NHS app when we cross?Truckosaurus said:
Whilst we are talking expiry dates...
Since the B-word the EU are now enforcing a ten year expiry date on UK passports, which is often different to the printed expiry date (it is on mine).
I believe this is actually a 9yrs 9 months limit as your passport has to be valid for your whole potential 90 day stay.
The EU's basic passport entry rules for visitors from non-Schengen countries are that:Since the B-word the EU are now enforcing a ten year expiry date on UK passports, which is often different to the printed expiry date (it is on mine).
I believe this is actually a 9yrs 9 months limit as your passport has to be valid for your whole potential 90 day stay.
1) It is valid for at least three months after the date you intend to leave the EU country you are visiting.
2) Was issued within the previous 10 years.
For the former that's generally going to mean expiry no sooner than mid-Sept. 2022, though if you were planning on making Le Mans the start of a 90 day stay it would need to be min-Dec. 2022
For the latter that's issues no earlier than some date in early June 2012 (depending on travel date).
The gotcha is that you can renew your passport early and if you do any remaining time on your old passport is added to the expiry date of the new one. As a result rather than the expiry date being 10 years after the start date it can be upto 10 years and 9 months after the start date.
So for 1) you need to check "Expiry date less than return date + 3 months" and for 2) it's "Issue date + 10 years" you need to be checking.

Proof of vaccination (or whatever extra paperwork non-vaccinated people need) - I was in France last week and just uploaded my NHS QR code into the French app and that was plenty enough.
This is the first time I've read this, is the NHS App itself with proof of your vaccination not enough? Everything I've read so far suggests it is.Also, to add the 'not quite essentials' list...

I’m guessing the travel pass is the document Eurotunnel are asking me to fill in, but not until 3 days before travelling https://uk.ambafrance.org/Vaccine-pass-in-France

As far as I can find, if you're fully vaccinated and show that with the NHS App, you don't need to fill in anything else.
No French app required and the PLF is only required if arriving by air.
I assume Eurotunnel get the docs together and issue a travel certificate.
We're going Irish Ferries and have no idea what they want!

After extensive research that was my conclusion too. NHS App showing full vaccination within the past 9 months is all that is required. You do not need the French App and you do not need to fill out any other forms, EU-PLF is for air travel only.No French app required and the PLF is only required if arriving by air.
