Finally, have you all received your tickets? I had a call today from someone racing two cars and they have sent the passes for him, his four mechanics, the transporter and the mobile home to someone else in the UK. I have managed to fix it with the press office and I'll be picking up all the necessary for him from the signing on behind the MMA football stadium. I believe there are lot of people who haven't been sent tickets because the ACO got them too late and will have to go and pick them up. Be sure to have your passport with you as proof of identity.

The weather forecast has changed and is forecasting thunderstorms on Friday and rain all Saturday. If this doesn't change, the parade laps will be even more dangerous than usual. You have been warned.
Yes to the tickets & I was also told the same reason as you explained. I think they'll be a queue to be either first or last in the parade laps purely for safety purposes (how often do you hear people asking that they'd like to be last to do something??!!)
It gets worse. I have to pick up another 23 tickets and five camping passes for another team who find themselves bereft.

I think its 20-30 mins.

My plan is to position myself close to the front (if there is a choice), let everything pass me down Mulsanne to enjoy the sights & sounds, then wobble round on my own. It's bad enough doing 85mph on the toll roads when 'corners' arrive, so I'll be taking it nice and steady.

I'm hoping there might be some professional photographers knocking about who make a bit on the side from these parade laps as its just me and my lad this year.

I've also seen that the Pistonheads parking is #75 on the inside of the Garage Vert hairpin so should be parked up there after the lap.

In two minds about insurance, not bothered before when I did parade laps at the 24hr, or the Friday Parade in town, so think I'll just risk it and keep it clean.
The words/phrases "plan" and "Le Mans Classic parade laps" are mutually exclusive in my experience. I did laps at the last LMC and it was pretty chaotic, one certainly needed to be on one's toes. I'm still doing them again this year though.

Last time it was a mix of 120mph plus a bit two abreast with faster cars occasionally coming through the middle at 140ish and then hard on the brakes before tailbacks before chicanes and corners.

Keep alert at corners as it’s two lanes into one space and may need to go over the blue and yellow concrete or the metre long steel blocks they put off just off track at Ford or Dunlop chicanes

We got 3 full laps plus the start finish straight to the Bugatti circuit an extra time.

Cars start running down Bugatti to gate by Ford chicane early and all the ticket and helmet checks were down there. It was PH, AMs, TVRs and loads of other clubs or parking areas all together.

Best to check route in day before - looks pretty warm on forecast so saves a bit of walking
