Hey chaps.

Jumping on the thread here in disbelief of this years ticket sales and the going about of it...

A friend of mine made a good point of, what about all the oldies who don't use the Internet drive all the way down there and come face to face with the disappointment we all have!
Hard to believe that oldies will book a ferry/tunnel or have it booked for them, drive to LM and then say oh I don’t use the internet so couldn’t book a ticket.

I can’t believe general entry is down as sold out. I’ve never known this to be the case. Even some grandstand seats are generally available quite late on.

They did reduce numbers when getting going again after Covid. Would they still be doing this?

I suppose the combination of the new cars and anniversary race has bumped the numbers interested.

Also Covid years mean more interest , apparently some farmers have denied access to some areas .........something I heard there from a Marshall when trying to access the area around Arrange .

Day tickets still available? Easy money on the gate if that's all that's on offer.

I’ve not seen anything to suggest it is reduced numbers. I believe this is a full capacity event. The extra demand has come from corporate packages. I expect it is a one off for this year due to it being the centenary.

You also have a high profile French team in Peugeot maki g a comeback not to mention the other big factory entries. It was busy in the previous Peugeot years as well although I’ve never known for GA tickets to sell out before.

I am still looking for a single GA ticket for my Father in Law if anyone can help?

The beermountain Facebook group may be a good place to check as well.

Or not. Strict no buy/sell on their now.

Still amazed at the sold out status. Supposed 250k attendance last year and the place was like a ghost town until 2pm Sat.

Even recent peak Peugeot/Audi battles never saw complete sell out for general entry.

Even some grandstand spaces are usually available quite close to the event.

This is unusual just how much is sold out.

No you're right but they may follow the old ways of what many of us do and turn up to buy on the gate.

Many oldies will actually be French people who have just been jumping in their cars and drving down Saturday morning for 40 years. I see much huffing, puffing, and justiculation for the gate staff to have to deal with...

I've managed to get tickets including camping at the new L'Hippodrome site via 1st Tickets. Excited to be going for the first time since 2016 - however, that last time I went I was so p*ssed off with the terrible traffic (took hours to get into Blu Nord) that I've been put off going again until this year.

Now I'm getting quite concerned it's going to be even more horrific, especially as L'Hippodrome is in-circuit...

Access to the circuit before, during & after the race is very dependent on the time of day you arrive and the route you take around the circuit plus the vagaries of the local police. We've only had one issue with arrival when we first visited in 2013 and then vowed to ignore the main directional signs in the future - we head further in towards the city before turning down to the circuit. Getting around after the event is still an issue if you are coming back from around Mulsanne against the traffic flow as the traffic officers seem to make the rules up on the day by making roads one-way.

For those who've not sorted their crossings to/from France for the event I've seen an email today from one of the travel operators reporting increased demand so they are recommending that bookings are confirmed as soon as possible.

I reckon they’ll have a little stash held back for disgruntled Frenchies
