Car and Tent or MH

We have been every year for the last 5 years apart from last year when we had to cancel due to my wife needing spinal surgery.

We use a company called travel destinations.

They have portacabin rooms either standard or deluxe.

Standard is just a bed, deluxe has a shower and toilet in it.

It’s a secure compound with bar, toilets, showers, food etc. it’s a little pricey but it’s inside the circuit, near to the main entrance (5 mins walk) and the bus stop for the circuit buses and local town buses.

They also have another site with pre setup teepee type tents with the same facilities (toilets, showers, bar, restaurant.

Finally they have a site for motor home and caravans. Again with all the same facilities.

If you stay at the portacabin / teepee site, because you don’t need to take tents, cooking stuff etc you can take the nice car but still have a reasonably nice place to stay / sleep.

Having a think about doing the Classic this time as it fits in better with my son’s university term dates and there’s a bit more available accommodation choice.
