French fuel prices

Also to add noticed over last few days. Both 95 and 98 Ron have been unavailable at a fair few stations, ranging from St Malo and down around Bordeaux area.
May be worth keeping topped up rather than the panicked running on fumes fill ups, only to find there is no petrol.
I mentioned this earlier - more about 98 not being available at many rural garages. I am told the motorways have no shortages... I am heading to the coast in a couple of weeks so have been following reports.May be worth keeping topped up rather than the panicked running on fumes fill ups, only to find there is no petrol.
FWIW I usually drive to Le Mans from NL (and regularly drive form NL into 'main' Europe), my current experience is that Belgium is about cheapest for fuel of the various countries I go through. Not hugely relevant if you're crossing direct to France of course but maybe worthwhile knowing for some.

No rural stations, all motorway within the main towns areas.
Seemed mainly Total Energies… but many without 98 and some without either 95 or 98.
Will certainly be mindful of this for Le Mans.

Just dotted along a route tracking basically from st Malo, Rennes, Nantes to just below Bordeaux.

Total have capped their prices to €1.99 (from memory) which means every Guillaume, Henri and Xavier are buying their petrol there - so they run out quickly. No rural stations, all motorway within the main towns areas.

On a point of order, the actual phrase here is Pierre, Paul ou Jacques. When I lived in Egypt it was “any Ahmed or Mohammed”

Official French government website with just about all prices.
Also usually pretty much up to date - e.g. Diesel at Super-U in Arnage as I write this EUR2.089 = £1.80 (again as I write this according to xe.com) which is a few pennies better than I can find near me at the mo.

Hadn’t seen this site before. Very useful with not just prices, but stock also. Also usually pretty much up to date - e.g. Diesel at Super-U in Arnage as I write this EUR2.089 = £1.80 (again as I write this according to xe.com) which is a few pennies better than I can find near me at the mo.
