the group of 6 of us going down to le mans next year will be staying in the Club Motorsport campsite (www.clubmotorsport.org.uk) again for the second year.

the reason we camped there last year is 'cos there was no space at the circuit but we enjoyed it so much we've gone back, the only problem is its around 8km from the circuit but it is a secure site so no problems with pikeys...

i was just wondering if anyone else was camping there this year?
or if anyone here was there last???

there was some nice cars there last year ranging from a Noble, to an Audi TT fresh from the Gumball Rally
if you are there this year look out for a B.R.G MGB GT, a beige(ish) MGB GT and a beige mk 1 Vauxhall Cavalier...

Have been staying in this site for the last few years. Bit wet in 2001 but then again wasn't everything, still drying my tent out in 2002...

New shower block last year, felt like staying in the Ritz. Good bunch of people though - a real mix. All the Clubmotorsport people really try hard to make your trip a good one.

Will keep an eye out for you this year LittleG, look out for 911C4S, Elise, Scoob Wagon and MX5 (cough!! sorry Jimmer)

Like the Vaux - the French won't know what's hit them - keep it up....

We're arriving Thursday evening - getting the Dover-Calais ferry and going on our traditional route away from the N roads through Lyon-La-Foret. Cracking route - can't remember the exacts though, maybe our map man GPSJimmer could comment??

With a bit of luck we'll get a PH flag so you'll recognise us. By the way have you ever walked up the road to the village (Geycelard) there is a bar there that we tend to frequent...

Last year we did an extra 2500 miles after the race - drove to Geneva and went over the route des grande alpes all the way down to Menton on the coast then on to Monaco and all the way across to the Pyrenees. Ended up down in Andorra but didn't like it much so just stocked up on cigarettes and an unfeasibly large bottle of Jack D before heading back to France. Similar trip planned this year god help us.

See you down there gents.

cool... though i don't think 2x MG's and a Vauxhall would cope with another 2500 miles!!!

we never ventured into "Gay Salad" last year (other than to turn around) but as we're down for an extra couple of days this year, we have more time to drink!!!

in Gucelard, Arnage, Le Mans etc...
