For my Birthday a few years ago, I treated myself to a framed limited edition print drawing signed by the artist of the Old Ace cafe with a group of British motorcycles in the foreground. Its still wrapped up in the corner of the bedroom She does not like it and will not let me put it up

That sounds pretty unreasonable in my opinion... surely you can put it up in a quiet part of the hall, landing, kitchen, study, downstairs loo... anywhere that it isn't right under her nose?
What would happen if you took some of her pictures or photos down because you "didn't like them"? If you try, let us know how many stitches you needed

Just put them up anyway, but put them high and then invite her to take them down using the conveniently placed step ladders which just happen to have a dodgy step!!!
